You can fly 10 days after 🙂 make sure your incisions are always covered though, if your sunbathing, otherwise they will end up healing a different colour to your natural skin tone xx

Hi Babe, I am currently 6 weeks post op…but I was originally scheduled for my BA back in September 2015 and was going away early October to New York (classed as long haul) giving myself only 3 weeks before flying. I asked my PC about this at the time and was advised 4 weeks for short haul (less than 6 hours) and 6 weeks for long haul (6hours +) and if I were to go against this I would have to sign a disclaimer that I went against surgery advice. I was desperate to have it asap at the time due to the late space discount but decided against it in the end because of a couple of things – 1) be aware that you will not be able to lift your arms up above a certain height and you wont be able to lift heavy bags 2)you will probably have dressings on your stitches for upto 6 weeks dependant on how you heal and the heat might make your skin sweat giving room for infection and 3) what would you do incase of an emergency whilst you are abroad…I ended up postponing my surgery until Christmas because I went away again in November and at first all was well until I got an infection in one of my incision 2 weeks postop but was able to get to the nurse straight away for antibiotics and then having to go and see her every week for 3 further weeks. So sorry for this long long post but I just think it’s better to be safe than sorry, we pay all that money and put our bodies through such a huge change you dont want to jeopardise your end results. Hope this helps xxx
