hi louisa,am really concerned about u.hop u feeling better now.we both had our ba done on the same day at high gate.i came down in the theatre at 9,maybe thats the time u finished.my ribs are soooooooooooooooooo sore,i cannot explain and hav too much pain arount my stitches.another problem i am suffering is that i hav alot of fluid underneath my left breast which when pressed makes a bubbling sound.am really scared about that.spoke to the nurse and shres asked me not ti keep pressing as it can cause infection.fingres crossed ,nothing like that happens.
what formed the blood clot in u?

Pam, hope you get better. As for me, my boobs are alright but my boom hurts really bad and my body. My pain killer is also making me sick due to the codein. But fingers crossed, we will all be fine.

im ok, thanx for ur concern, its really sweet someone i dont even no cares so much so thank u. i didnt get to highgate until 5pm and didnt have the op until about 8.pm wed eve and mum said i was back at my room at 9.30 so u must have been after me. my boobs were fine for the rest of that evening but i woke up at about 4.30am with major swollen right boob, from then onwards it just grew and grew and was extremley un comfortable. at this point they gave me morphine as i had to wait 6hrs to go back into theatre as i had eaten that morning. Mr Adamo was great , really nice and helpful. i was in such a state i think he just wanted me to stop crying!
mine are still swollen now but nothing compared to the blood clot. i think i got a burst blood vessel which caused the clot.
please keep an eye on ur swollen side, it should be fine as long as it does not get bigger and bigger…if this happens pls contact ur nurse.
im sure ul be fine, what happened to me only happens to 2% of people apparently so im sure ul be ok, try not to worry.
what size did u have and how are they looking ?

Sky,thanks hun. I had mine on wednesday together with louisa and pam. I was taken out of the recovery room around 8:30pm. I’m not sure but i think louisa was right after me. Have you had yours yet?

louisa,i had 340cc and was a cup 34AA before.i dont look too big but wished i had gone for 380cc.just hoping to get a full c or a small D now.what about you?how is your pain around your ribs?

divafly,i think i was the last one that day.how u doing now.cant u ask your nurse to prescibe you someother painkiller which might suit you.i think they might be able to post u the priscribtion if u cannot go to pick it up.

Hi Divafly, No I havent had mine yet its on 11th of Nov. U lot are gettin me worried, Im in with Dr Adamo at Highgate. Where did you have urs?

i also rang my doc he prescribed me stronger pain killers and they seem to be working. my belly and ribs are so swollen i look really fat lol, they are very tender especially on my right side. i have really bad bruising too but mr adamo told me to expect that after the draining. how are ur ribs so u have much bruising??

Mr adamo at highgate. He is wonderful dont worry. I had no problems with GA and no drains. And the staff are amazing. I wasnt even cold, shaky when i woke up and my throat was not dry. It was so much easier than what i thought. You will be fine i’m sure. All that i am feeling now, i think its normal just make sure you do everything they tell you to.

louisa,did u hav to go and get a pricribtion for stronger painkiller bec mine does’nt seem to be working aswel.i thought those were the strongest.i was priscribed,co-codamol 500 mg.
what about u?

i asked my mum to ring the doc as i was in dis comfort, i originally asked for sleeping pills but he wouldt perscribe these so he said he would give me stronger pain killers instead. i got 50mg diclofenac, i think this i s a stronger pill in itself. i have these as well as the co-codemol

That must have been awful for you, i can’t even start to imagine the pain you must have been in and most probably still are. It’s nice to know you were well looked after, and that you are on the mend now.
Won’t be long and they will look just how you wished for.
