Front fastening m&s bra

Hi ladies
I’ve just had my strapping off and I asked about the m&s front fastening sports bra and was told my surgeon doesn’t recommend them as they could hinder all his hard work!!
So I’ll be sending it back!
Just wanted To share for any ladies considering them to maybe double check with your surgeon first?
I had unders as well so not sure if it could depend on where the implants placed.

I stopped wearing mine only wore it twice bit gutted cos i spent £50 on them but not worth the risk xx

Are you pleased with your boobs now that the strapping is off xx

I’m not sure Chantelle my nurse didn’t say. I’m presuming maybe as I had unders If they are pushed together it could stop them settling right? Like how your advised to not wear push up bras etc.

I’m going to send mine back @laura and just get like a pull over one I think! Yeh glad the strapping is off! Ones still bigger than the other, think I need to try and get used to the fact they’ll never be ssymetrical 🙁

@lauraj1987 @mitch did you ask about using like bio oil etc? I need and she said not to use and to just leave them to heal themselves?? X

The m&s high impact zip are ones are amazing. I wear mine even now 10 months post opp xx

No i forgot to ask actually but was going to ask next time after i was past the 6week mark. Wonder why they say to not use anything? Xx

I’ve just swapped from my Macom to m&s high impact front zip one and I have to say it’s wayyyy more comfy!

I wouldn’t know as I’ve not had mine done yet but my pc was saying yesterday that they don’t usually recommend front fastening bras because they can put pressure on your implants by being pulled together. But I’m sure each surgeon has their own preferences in what will suit their work. I’d go with what they recommend xx

I’m going to stick with my bras from Matalan I think. Xx

Hey girls, I have my op in 2.5 weeks and need to buy front fastening bras! I’ve been recommended the front fastening m&s but I have no idea what size to buy? How did you girls figure out what size!?

@cherw255 I would check your surgeron Is happy for you to use them first. Like I said on here, my surgeron was against front fastening.
For sizing tho I think you go up one to two band sizes and the cup size you requested. So I was like a 34b and was told to get a 36D matalan post op support bra.
If your unsure I’d email your surgeon to double check 🙂 x

@cherw255 depends on your implant size/ predicted size/ current back size etc. I was a 32b had 430cc overs and bought a 34dd it fits perfect snug but comfortable. My surgeon said always go lower in sports bras as they stretch xx

@cherw255 you need to go up a band size, but depends on implant sizing for how many cups. I had 400cc from 32B so bought the 34E and fits perfectly xx

Brilliant, thanks Hannah ???? What bra did you go for?? My sister had a reduction (she clearly got my share of the boobs) so I have a couple of her old macom ones but looking at other makes too ????

@tanwoo I’d say the Macom is the best one for on the day as it’s hard to guess a size with the strapping to cover as well.

I have 2 Macoms and 3 of the M&S high impact ones lol. The M&S ones are so comfy I went a bit crazy!
