Fuming!!

So get to highfield today and get told within half an hr i cant av surgery due to a reaction i had with latex 3 years ago! I told the nurse this in my pre-op 2 weeks ago and nothing was done about it. Apparently i need a latex allergy blood test to determine if i am allergic or not! Better safe than sorry i guess but this is 2nd time iv been messed about with surgery dates!
So now been waiting just short of 2 hrs to see someone about blood test! I could cry im so mad! Was so excited about my surgery been today! Apparently not 🙁 very disappointed!!

Aww im so sorry hun i would complain as you told them they should have done one before thats not fair on you its messing with your emotions its stressful enough when your going to have surgery but then to be told that you cant have it is just not fair it is better safe then sorry but its not right how they have done it. I hope you get your surgery soon chin up hun xx

Thankyou girls! Yes its very frustrating but coming to terms with t now. A complaint will be going in. They said that due to avin a reaction with latex 3 yrs ago where i got a red patch on my hand from a latex glove they cant risk 4 me to av surgery as latex will be present xx

Going on from my last post just to let u know everything has been sorted. It was no fault of Mya they have really helped me with everything today and have reassaured me completely! Op now on Monday in Preston!! X
