Getting dressed!

Hi all! 🙂
I know people have said about getting a zip up top/buttons etc for after surgery and for afterwards because they’re easier to get on and off. Roughly how long do you have to wear things that are front fastening for? I’m assuming it’s just while it’s uncomfortable for the first couple of days, or do you wait until you have your one week check up?

Hi hun I had my surgery last Friday (6th) and I still haven’t attempted to put a top over my head, it hurts when I lift my left arm up, I can’t even wash my hair had to go hairdressers to have it washed & blow dried today lol! I think it just depends how quickly you heal hun, we all heal at a different pace x

I was very lucky .. I was able to 2-3 days post op x

Everyone varies, I was ok after a couple of days with baggy top x

Excellent thanks 🙂 just buying some bits and realised that I didn’t actually know how long I’d need to wear them for! Might just get a couple of zip up tops then 🙂

On day 2 I washed my own hair over bath and day 3 wearing nornal clothes etc
Everyone is different so I suggest front opening pjs and zip up hoody for few days

I wore a top home after my op that wasn’t front fastening, it was just baggy so stretching it over was fine. Especially if you have someone to help you do it! xo
