Getting measured with M&S

Hi girls just wanted to find out if any of us girls post op ever got measured by marks and Spencer’s. I know I’m only 4 weeks post op but was worried that I might not be in the right size sports bras, I have a 36 dd sports bra from tesco fits lovely but coukd be a bit more supportive and I have a 38dd and 38e in a asda sports bra but there so tight rubbing on my scars, there not the greatest . So I asked one of the girls to measure me and she said I was a 38 c !!!!!!! I’m not impressed as I was a 36 b pre op and had 525 cc tsx. Really feeling disappointed 🙁

Hun that sounds right. You need to remember if you go up a back size (from 36 to a 38) then the cup size decreases. Effectively you’ve gone up two cup sizes so from a B to a C plus the up one in the back.

I’m the opposite, because I also had lipo and I’ve been eating healthy, I’ve gone down from a 34 to a 32. And now my cup is a silly size!!

Don’t panic with what actual size. So long as your wearing the right size bra and your happy with the shape of your boobies, that’s all what matters!

Im measuring a 32.5 inches under bust and over bust I’m 39 inches. Once I’m back at the gym I’ll be able to reduce my back size back to 31 inches as I have always been a 36 back .

Hi M&S are so rubbish when it comes to measuring I don’t know if it’s the way they are taught to do it but if she just looked at you and guessed thats rubbish any clown and do that..
I personally always get measured in Anne summers they do it the proper way with measuring tape and bringing Out non padded special measuring bras to get your exact sizing!! X

But I don’t get it Becky cos I couldn’t even get in a c cup sports bra

It does sound very strange.

I went to M&S yesterday to get measured and it was the same as I’d been measured elsewhere. Plus I tried the bras on and they fitted really well.

Maybe try Debenhams for measuring.

Well I have another 2 weeks until I’m 6 weeks post op I’ll stay wearing the tesco bra 36dd and wait and see

Yea m&s measured me pre op the way the other shops do…i was planning on going there for my post op measurements this week..ill c what they say i measure im in same size sports as u r now x

@saraho3 Here’s what i’ve found…
A sophisticated pair say -32F
Ann Summers say – 34DD
La Senza say – 36DD
Gossard say – 36D

I’d say that A sophisticated pair are more right…they have my size spot on at the mo..! I was a deflated b cup and had 525cc and an wearing a FF/G bra…

Thank you very much happy me very grateful I just tried on my old 36c that I thought gad been thrown out and i spilled out if it so I’m not going with that measurement .

You’ve also got to remember all shops come up different sizes too.

I’m surprised by Happyme measurements as they are soooo different! I was emasured 30FF and 32F which makes sense.

Yep accepted hun. I need to update pics soon. Although I’ve bought bras, I don’t have my app until Thursday so I won’t wear them until I have the all clear.

@beckybooboo1986 those where just the measurements that each website gave when I put in @saraho3 measurements. It is strange how they can all be so different but ovbo even you and I would have a random mixture of sizes if we tried all their size calculators.. xxx

How can they give you a bra size without seeing you and just putting numbers in? :S
Isnt it like clothes? I can fit in a size 8 some places but sure as hell can’t in others haha xx

Marks and Spencer’s refused to measure me. Said they weren’t trained for implants, the woman was so snotty I’ve never been back since

I know what you mean @happyme when I measured myself and put it into a calculator, I was a 34D which definately isn’t right. I have bras in 30FF and 32F and they both fit fantastically.

i really dont think fake boobie girls can listen to what we’re measured at, bras fit us differently to how theyd fit a natural boobied girl.. i got measured 32G with 525cc’s, got 900ccs and got measured again same place 34G. wtf! they look loads bigger! she said the 34H fitted me at the top but could see it was a cup size too big at the sides, but i think its just coz our boobs dont fall like real ones x

As long as you like the look and feel of your boobs then the ‘bra size ‘ shouldn’t matter

im going to M&S for fitting this Sat, but im pre op and never been measured. my friends don’t believe im 36 b. but I only buy my bras from Primark (sad) but usually wear like a sport bra. so ii want to know my right size before my op. =)
