girls please help mega worried

hi im 2 days post op, and iv never felt so rubbish in my life. i feel so sick and dizzy and tired, n my stomachs hurtin. my mum thinks its side effects from painkillers theyv given me and the antibiotics , i really hope it is just that. i feel like i just want to stay in bed and sleep. has any one else felt like that? i just wanna cry and i keep panicking and workin myself up/ x

Calm down Ba’s affect people differently and your body is reacting to the painkillers antiniotics and recovering from a major op I know its easy to say but hard to do
try to relax grab a movie or book or somit the say the first week is hardest and if you are no better 7 days post op contact your PC and if really cant cope contsct your pc or gp now

Just a thought have you had that type of antibiotic before you could be allergic to it ?

iv never had codene before, or that type of painkiller. iv had antibiotics but not sure if its the same or not. i feel a bit better than beefore and i think the painkillers wearing off. im not takin any of them now. thank u for replying cassieanne, iv been sat just working myself up. im so rubbish at feelin sick lol. i hate taking tablets aswell. how are u feeling? with the meds theyv given u#? xx

Hi, I was exactly the same. The antibiotics made me feel sick and then a couple of days after my op I started having panic attacks! Never in my life have I felt like that before. I was saying to my husband what have I done to myself! I couldn’t eat and weight dropped off me! Luckily all my family were brilliant and after I week I started to feel like my old self and everything is great and I love my new boobies! X

really?? well i havnt got an appitite at all. i cant even smell food n i feel sick.. but u have to have the antibiotics with food? is it really important to finish the antibiotics i cant feel like this.. 🙁 im sorry im moanin so much girls.. i have been havin panic attaks aswell, its just awful… worst part of BA so far for sure x

I rang the nurse and she asked my surgeon if I could stop taking the antibiotics and he said I could. So think I was only on them 4 days but check first. I also only took paracetomol as I’m sure the mixture of GA, pain killers and paracetomol was turning me into a complete wreck! X

Aprile all I had so far was a fainting spell when I took the antibiotics without food and mild pain… been lucky that way now I make sure I munch food before having antibiotic. Yes it is very important you finish the course of antibiotics they are using them to prevent infection while our scars are healing. hey we are allowed to moan just try calm down reach for the chocolate and ice cream as it got a nice high sugar content to give us energy to aid our initial recovery well that’s my excuse anyways

i rang the nurse out of hours number before and it went to voicemail… ? im just not gonna take painkillers for now coz iv not had them before n i feel shit.. ill try n have antibiotics later on n see if i feel like death again. im proly not makin much sense either right now. cant concentrate i feel that shit. thank u so much for ur advice tho, really appreciate it.. xxx

thanks cassieanne, i know thers loads of icecream in the freezer, lol ill try n scoff some later with antibiotics,.. but no mroe painkillers.. i just want to sleep thru it all. xxxx

It’ll be the codeine hun, can make you throw up and feel proper light headed. I was given codryamol after my op as I told them codeine made me feel sick xx

Aprile are you feeling any better coming off the painkillers

Im 2days post op and I feel exactly the same! I hate sitting on the sofa all day I’m bored depressed and frustrated my chest feels so tight and I’ve stupidly stretched and torn Dr SInghs bandages out of frustration so i don,t think the pieces left are even helpin me! I can’t stop eating but it is defiantly for comfort that I’m eating which is disappointing because I lost just over half a stone 10days before the op so I know I will have gained it all back now! I really hate this process its so depressing and frustrating!

Dont worry day 2,3,4 i felt ffing awful to the point i sat there in tears thinking i was gonna die i felt that ill :/
I stopped taking the prescribed painkillers an took normal paracetamol and ibuprofen (u can take them together) but i still didnt feel right so i think its the antibiotics!! And also ur body flushing out the anaesthetic n meds can make u feel like sh*t.
Just hang in there by day 5 u will feel alot different x

thanks girls, thank god for this forum, coz no one else has managhed to make me feel any better. i threw up twice last night and just lay in bed awake all night shaing it was awful. iv not taken any more painkillers, but feel a bit better. my mums just brought me up the antibiotics tho, and im just sat here staring at it lol. i need to take it but really dont wanna feel ill again 🙁 and i cant eat. i wish i could! i just cant wait to get this over with now, i really just wanna stop takin the antibiotics,,

Hi huni I’m the same don’t take the painkillers just take brufeon and paracetamol I think antibiotics are making me feel sick too it will get better petal xx

I rang nurse she rang me back said it’s the aneasetic it takes 2 weeks to come out your system drink plenty fluids hun.. also take different painkillers I’m not in any pain so if ur not don’t take xxxx. Chin up hun were all in same boat hear so we can help eachother out 🙂 xxx

Hey I am day 2 post op, I don’t feel sick or anything yet and feel quite strong in myself but just feel so tight and can’t sit up or reach for anything! is anyone else feeling like that? I wasn’t given codeine :s I was given anti biotic and paracetomel and ibrufen so that maybe why I don’t feel as bad! Quite annoying they haven’t given them though because paracetamol and Inrufe. isn’t cutting this pain and could do with something stronger – ice packs are helping though. Roll on 6 weeks 🙂

I’m not in much pain and also feel like I want to get up and do things but I can’t cause when i stretch for anything lie on my back or sit up my strapping nd boobs feel so tight and sooo painful! I tried to pick up my dog (he’s a chihuahua so only weighs about 5lbs) and I felt something dislodge and move in my boob 🙁

Hope u feel better soon!! I’m looking to get my BA redone. When I had my first ba a few years ago I had the same thing. I got really sick, I also remember I was puking what looked like black ink! I have no idea what it was but I remember feeling just as bad as u do! I stopped taking my anti biotics and after a few days I was back to normal, however for the next year around every 3 months I’d get sick. I kept going to the dr convinced it was linked to my boob job but no help.. Luckily after 1 year I stopped getting ill/sick and got back to normal. It could be possibly because I stopped taking my anti biotics, but up until this day I don’t know what or why I was that way!

@angels, feel much better than yesterday, iv stopped with any kind of painkillers, and im half expecting pain to come any minute. iv kept takin my antibiotics though, under duress! lol. just cant wait for us to be later on down the line where i can njoy my new boobs! xxxx

well im definitely takin the antibiotics now! god! thank u tho, i’ll let u know how i get on with antibiotics etc n pain! :S never thought it would be this bad , go i was so naive!

Yeh it’s safer in the long run to finish the course even if it makes u feel horrible now.. I think that may have been my problem was not finishing it! Xoxxxx

I told the nurse I tore up my bandages and she said to just keep patient and keep whatever is remaining of it on underneath my sports bra. I must admit since I put the sports bra on I feel alottttt better and can move a lot more… . I wonder if the pain I was feeling had something to do with not being supported enough because I came home in my bandages and never bothered wearing the sports bra this whole time until the nurse told me to wear it today 3days post op :S

This forum is a God send.. In a few weeks we’ll be messaging each other @aprile (hopefully pain free and healed) reminiscing on this nightmare recovery week from hell Lol x

Hi Aprile, Hope you are starting to feel a little better and over the worse now. I think the 1st few days are the worst but look forward to having gorgeous boobies 🙂
