    Hey ladies…
So I’m 4 weeks post op tomorrow and am thinking about going back to the gym soon (most certainly at 6 weeks!)
I’m used to training 4-5 days a weeks so I’m going crazy at the moment.
    I have some questions though…
    1) how soon did you go back, and how did you find it? Was there anything limited or that you struggled with?
    2) bra!!!! Which one is best? I’ve heard of one maybe called shock absorber?!
    Thank you!! ?xx

You are literally me! I normally go to the gym five times per week and I am very nervous about not being able to go for a while!

All my literature states to start again as a beginner when I return. I think I will see how I feel, definitely no heavy exercise until 6 weeks, but if I am up to it I would like to keep active as much as possible and perhaps do some light exercise before that time. I plan to work with my PT twice a week when I go back to get me back up to speed and keep me focused because I will probably have gained loads of weight and lost loads of muscle tone.

Let me know how you get on once you return, I would love to hear about your experience.

I went back after 6 weeks and just went full on into a normal legs session lol BUT upper body has been a different story, my op was August and still struggle with chest presses, skull crushes, pretty much anything that includes stretching my chest muscles in anyway, I did have big implants though but zero pain post surgery so find it so weird that certain exercises I literally just can’t do and feel like a boob will actually pop out haha they told me low weights high reps to start.. it’s honestly not too bad when you go back cuz your e dying to get back on it x

I am really worrying that I won’t ever be able to exercise the way that I currently do ever again!

At my post op on Friday I was advised absolutely no gym at all until I’ve had my 6 week post op, and then I will be told whether I can go back or not.

I was told 3 months until I could weight train again 🙁 as thats “my thing”. The thought of never being able to train chest or shoulders again actually does freak me out…
I was going to attempt cardio this week but have now come down with girl flu (a sign???!!!) so will wait until next week now, or until Im better (and I will be almost 6 weeks by then too).
I wonder if I should stick to cardio between 6-12 weeks? And then start weight training then? Eeeek!!xx

My nurse didn’t say I had to wait that long before lifting weights, although starting small will definitely be required I think. I was just told no heavy lifting of any kind until at least 6 weeks.
