Hits girls I have my ba next week and I’m only off for a week after then back to work I work in a very active job which involves lifting etc will I be ok to go back or what shall I do? Xx
I am in the same situation I’ve got like ten days off, I work at the hospital and have to move patients and stuff but I can’t do any lifting for a good few weeks and I need to make sure I don’t! X
I’m worried about this too. I work as a Carer for my cousin as she’s severely medically/physically/mentally disabled and if she wants to sit up someone has to put their arms around her and pull her up. As well as changing her nappies. I will be with her on the Wednesday and have surgery on the Monday but don’t wanna cancel seeing her xx
Hi girls, we are strongly advised to avoid any heavy lifting and exercise for 6 weeks! I don’t think you will be able to manage going back to work in the second week! Unless you ask your boss if you can do any small little sit down jobs?!
I have a very active/lifting job too but I took a long time off work to recover!
My first week I was tight & uncomfortable, the second week I actually started having pain & they were rather sore!
Stil sore now is week 3!
You don’t want to injure yourself or take any chances! Your boobs have to heel on the inside as well on the out!
Better to be she than sorry 🙂 just have a think about what you want to do xxx
The only problem is I only hAve one week annual leave left so that’s all I can have. I don’t think they would allow sick pay with it being cosmetic? I work at hospital I think I should contact occupational health department to see xx
heyy have longer then a week my job has alot of lifting aswell i had a month off xx
I had a week & 2 days annual leave then rest of week off sick, this way I didn’t need a doctors note as i had less then a week off sick but still had 2 weeks before I went back! & I defo needed it! I would defo recommend if you having unders to try and get 2 weeks specially if you have an active job xxxx
If I need to be off I will get a sick note but I’ll see how I go on thanks girls xx
I would be very careful girls, i went back after 1 week and haven’t done any lifting, pulling, pushing or anything since. If I’ve tried it hasn’t felt very comfortable and I’m 4 weeks PO. They tell you 6 weeks for a reason. Look after your breasts xx
