Has anyone gone up and had surgery on their own then got picked up next day/afterwards by husband/family member?

Our childcare has let us down and I’ve just received my admission time of 7am. The email says to arrive with your chaperone. Do you have to?

I was thinking of staying in a hotel nearby night before then heading to Fitzroy alone for the op, stay overnight then husband collect me at 9.30 next morning.

    Did anyone else do similar?

I thought you could go on your own but you have to have someone to travel home with, drop your pc a message or call through to the clinic to double check. Sucks your childcare has fallen through xx

    Thanks girls,

Husband can collect me the next day and drive me home. It’s just the op day I don’t have childcare for.
