Does the nurse contact your gp for you ? I went to my pre op and just remembered her saying about contacting my gp and i seem to remember i read a post on here saying they tried to move the op date because their gp hadnt been contacted ? X thanks xx

At my pre-op the nurse asked me to sign a letter that she then sent to my gp.
After my op the nurse at the hospital also gave me a letter to hand to my gp too xx
Hi Hun the nurse will have sent a request for an ok from your doctor .it basically asks him to look through your medical history for them and see if he feels there’s any reason he thinks you shouldn’t have a BA. It can be faxed either way. If its something that’s out of your hands and there has been no reply from your doctor I was told it wouldn’t stop you from having surgery.xx
