*graphic pics* 350/375cc over HP, 9 days PO, Mr Mahdi

Hi ladies,
I’m 9days PO and feeling a little down 🙁 The pain seems to be getting worse not better. I went for my first post op appointment on Friday and had my dressings changed, pics attached. The nurse was very happy with the scarring but one area on my left breast was slightly open and pus was coming out (circuled). She suspects a superficial infection and has prescribed antibiotics. She took my temp which was fine so I don’t think it is too bad but I am just really worried now.
Also on my right breast on the scar underneath there is one area that is very sore. I have sharp shooting pains when moving a certain way and when any pressure is applied on it. I voiced my concern to the nurse but she didn’t seem to take much notice putting it down to the fact that I am right-handed and it can take a little longer for that side to heal. But it’s not the whole breast, just that one area, which I feel has gotten worse since then. I have another appt with the nurse tomorrow afternoon so I will explain it all to her then but at the moment my mind is going into overdrive worrying about it.
It doesn’t help that I think my boobs look like something out of a horror film 🙁 I know I still have a lot of recovering to do but I have seen pics of others at 9days PO and they don’t look half as bad as mine.
They’re also crazy far apart. They were before anyway but I thought there would be some kind of improvement. My chest in between my breast is massively swollen aswell making it look so much worse.
I am sorry for going on, I’m just so worried and feel so down. Has anybody else been through anything similar? Infection? Increasing pain? Bad pain in one area? I’d love to hear your experiences to ease my mind Xx

I know this is not much help but I have to say Wow if mine turn out like that I’ll be over the moon! I think they look amazing and your scars look like they are going to be so neat! I’m having the same procedure on the 7th Feb and this makes me excited!

Looking at the pic, I think you are healing nicely! If you are concerned though, I would definitely get back to the nurse. One thing my surgeon said at the consultation was that my breasts would be the same distance apart as before, maybe your surgeon should have mentioned that. I am seeing my nurse tomorrow, I will be 6 days post op and I’m only concerned about what looks like a sore under my right breast (pic attached). It’s not near the stitches so I don’t know what has caused it. It’s been there since waking up from ga and it’s bloody itchy!

Thanks for your comments guys, I may just be overthinking and worrying when i don’t need to. Back to see the nurse today with results from the swabs, so hopefully we’ll get to the bottom of it.
Charlotte it may be an irritation from the dressing? I know my dressings make me itch like crazy as I have quite sensitive skin. See what your nurse says.

The itchy and soar u got there is a blister from the tape, i got it too and my surgeon and nurse took the bandage off and changed it to post op bra, rub bio oil on it as it will help.

I am now almost 9 months post op,when I first had my dressings off I was horrified, my boobs were black green and blue,my nipples were numb,my scars were thick and red and I had a hole under my left boob that was leaking gunk,I also had a big lumpy bruise next to my left nipple that looked like a hematoma and felt hot and squishy
It took 6 weeks for any improvement and for the hole to heal with weekly checks and some iodine pads, then I had stitches pushing out of my scars causing me pain and catching my clothes,nipple sensation returned but felt like razors cutting me everytime anything touched them,
Long story short I hated my boobs and totally regretted my op,even now i still have pain occasionally and my scars are slow healing
But it does get better..eventually
