I’m so close to my op, all nurse checks done, surgeon consultation done, and today I received a text from my PC that I’m not suitable for GA due to family history of a blood clot. I don’t smoke, I exercise, I’m not on the pill etc. I was very close to MYA when I got the text and I dropped by. They don’t actually know why I was told so, I’m still waiting for them to get back.
How is this possible? The surgeon in the consultation said it was okay except that I might have to take blood thinners. Other consultations I had before said it didnt carry too much risk too. My coagulation tests and blood tests came out good!!
I look through the forums and other girls had it even with genetic mutations etc.
I guess I can still have the op through another company since everyone said it was okay. But I am so close to my op I feel absolutely gutted and I didn’t want to have to look for another surgeon I feel comfortable with again and start all over…
