I’m 16 days PO and desperate to get back in the gym. Thinking of going back today and just using the bike and doing some leg exercises, maybe a few sit ups if it feels okay. Has anyone else gone back this early? Everything else is completely back to normal.. driving, walking the dog etc and I have full movement in my arms. Just can’t cope with being lazy for much longer!! If anyone knows any exercises that will be okay please let me know Xx

Hey, my op isnt til 9th sept but im worried about this, I gym alot and lift heavy weights so was told I wont be able to even do light cardio until 6 weeks PO. I spoke to one of my mates who is a fitness competitor and shes 13 weeks PO and still struggling, I think you just do what you can when you feel ready 🙂 everyones differernt

Personally I’d wait until at least the 6 week checkup to go to the gym. I know it’s hard 🙁 I’m only day 8 PO and want to be more active and go running! Putting more pressure on your incisions and implants might be a bit dangerous. Have you asked your pc/nurse? Xx

Why risk it? It’s not safe for 6weeks minimum… I really wouldn’t. Take up a hobby or something if you can’t stand being busy at thee gym, something that will occupy your mind but keep your body rested and able to heal.

As long as your eating sensibly there’s no need to excercise after your op, it’s just a disaster waiting to happen IMO.

I wouldn’t. You would have spent £5k and can cause damage for unnecessary reasons. Also it increases risk of capsular contraction. X

It’s insane to even think of that. Then what happens when you get a capsular contraction and have to have revision and wait for months for one to be done.

I think increased heart rate can increase risk of capsular contraction, even if less pressure on boobs the rush of blood flow can affect stuff.x
