    Hey guys,

I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow and I had 375cc HP over the muscle and really happy with my boobs and healing process so far. I’m desperate to get back to the gym and obviously I know the reccomend time is 6 weeks but I wondered if anyone went back any sooner and just took it easy?

Thinking of maybe going back next week or the week after and just starting lightly gentle exercises.

    Thanks in advance xxxxx

Went back after two weeks, doing body weight legs only for a fortnight, then added light weight to legs for the next fortnight. Sustained an injury in my shoulder closing the boot so for the next fortnight it will be body weight only on upper body and more weights on legs. My PT adjusted my routine to suit my needs

I’m 3 weeks po today and went back to the gym at the beginning of the week, but I only did long walks on the treadmill and some lower body machines. I’m still strapped at the minute so don’t feel supported enough to use any of the other cardio machines. It’s killing me coz I hate cardio but I’ve got to do something! x

Hi girls I feel like this too cause since my op I’ve not really been in much pain just discomfort. Would you say at 2 weeks regular walks will be ok? I feel like if I ran they’d feel like they’d fall off atm haha xx

Hey Sophie. First of all I absolutely feel your pain, I was itching to get back into training! I went back to the gym 2 weeks post op (now 5 weeks). I only did light cardio (incline walks) and lower body weight training, very light weight high reps and I felt absolutely fine.

If it feels okay I’d say you will be fine to go back just don’t push yourself too hard. I have my 6 week check up next Wednesday and I’m hoping my nurse will give me the go ahead to do upper body!

I’d just steer clear of running or jogging and upper body and make sure you wear a good supportive sports bra and you should be fine x x x
