booked in for my op in June 275 cc hp overs – beyond excited the weeks cant go quick enough.

Going to suspend my gym membership for defiantly one month – should I suspend it for 2 months what do your girlies think? I think I may be totally underestimating the pain post op.

any regular gym goers have any advice xxx

It’s at least 6 weeks then just very gentle exercise but I’d say your sort of back to normal 8-10 weeks as long as you have a really good high impact support bra xx

I’m having my op 19th May, with my gym you can only suspend from the 1st of the month to the 31st so i was gonna do June but then if I’m feeling up to it, after around 4 weeks I want to go back and do some light cardio like bike etc. which will be in June about 4 weeks after!
I’ve froze my membership throughout May and I’m just gonna pay a daily fee at another gym for the two weeks before my op! god knows how I’m gonna keep the weight off i haven’t had more than 3 weeks away from the gym in years!!x

thanx Jackie will get myself a decent high impact sports bra and I forgot about the 6 weeks off I remember reading that now you have mentioned it thank you.

@milliebradshaw I know I have been working so hard on my body the last year really don’t want to lose all the muscle I have gained and don’t want to put a load of weight back on finally happy with myself don’t want it all to go to crap after getting my new boobies – but defiantly don’t want to damage anything after the op. 19th of May not long bet your counting down the days I know I am and mine is in June lol.

I have my pre op next week so will ask the nurse for some advice

Hey Kirsty. I didn’t bother suspending my gym membership as I went back at 3 weeks to do light cardio. As of 5 weeks I starting doing just legs and then 6 weeks onwards upper body. I’m not doing any chest exercises until 3 months as instructed by my nurse though. I’m like you and I was working really hard and didn’t want to lose any muscle but you’ve just got to believe in muscle memory! I’ve lost a bit of strength but really quickly gaining it back and my muscle! Any more questions let me know? P.s. I had 400cc high profile partials if that helps at all x

@danniilk ah amazing Danni thank you so much for commenting think il just suspend for 1 month then I just don’t want to lose everything I have worked so hard for especially with summer round the corner 🙂 its great to know that although you initially lost a bit of strength your getting back into the swing of it relatively easy.
I always think you know your own body best and just remember to start of easy and don’t over do it.

Hope your healing well and enjoy being back at the gym xx

    Kirsty , I’m a personal trainer so i work within a gym.
I laid off the gym for 2 weeks, ( thats when i got all dressings off and could shower) started with light cardio so bike, and treadmill really or long walks outside when weather was nice.
Resumed leg training after about 4 weeks again just light until I was told by my nurse lifting lighter things shouldn’t be a issue.
As im a trainer I know not to push myself as much as I want to
I’m now 3 months PO and I am still gaining back my strength, Im not back to my 100% as i do feel slight twinges and will 100% leave any chest dominate moves out for another month or so until ive seen my surgeon.

Just go at your own pace if it feels weird ( everything does at the start) just take it easy or stop.
