Had ba yesterday now being sick can't keep down anything is this normal

Can anyone help me out ???? Can’t even keep water down was fine after op yesterday and just started bringing up everything this afternoon is this normal ??? Could it be the medication ?

Hi becky, sorry to hear your not well, I hadn’t ba yesterday too and been fine, if you can’t keep anything down I would ring the nurse for a bit of advice, the last thing you want is to end up dehydrated! Wot meds you taking? Heard a lot of girls have been sick after anaesthetic. Hope your feeling better soon xx

Might be a delayed reaction to the GA however it might be the painkillers/anti biotics! Drop the nurse a call and she mighty to able change your tablets and suggest a few things to help temporarily! Hope you feel better very soon, definitely the last thing you need after an operation xxx

It’s prob antibiotics…. I am like that with a few of them so had to have something different. Hope u feel better soon x

Thanks guys been trying to get hold of someone all day no joy I think it was the painkillers my hubby went chemist and they said the painkillers that they had given me are prone to making people sick so they gave me nurofen and to stop taking them so far so good 🙂

I was exactly the same after my revision last week… I was so ill I got readmitted with severe dehydration and had to go on IV fluids for 12 hours! Its usually the pain killers particularly if you are not used to them. I had so many pain meds in me it was no surprise I was sick… paracetamol, diclofenac, tramadol. oromorph, morphine and codeine!! Stick to just plain old paracetamol and stop everything else and it should subside but if it doesnt you need to see someone as you will get ill and dehydrated.

Thanks Hun yea I have stopped them I have drank a cold glass of coke and just eaten soup so far so good 🙂 x
