Had My Pre-op

Hey ladies 😀

so today I had my pre-op it went great! the nurse sat me down and spoke to me about all the general info you expect not to drink 2 weeks before and 6 weeks after the op, not to smoke for 2 weeks before or after the op (if you can help it)

she checked through my medical history and doubled checked meds with me etc. I had to sign a couple of pieces of paperwork and then we went through who was going to be my chaperone as I’m going under general anaesthetic, and got a couple contact details off me!

I require a blood test for my thyroxine levels to prove they are stable, however I was advised to go to my GP for this or my local hospital as MYA charge you around £30! so no blood test for me today! she did my blood pressure.

The nurse then took some photos one of the left and right sides of my profile (braless) and then one from the front (these are the photos they use to compare against your end result) I was informed that you have a 1 week app then a 2 week app and then a 6 week app post surgery.

the nurse said I could drive after 2 weeks if I was able and not to go to the gym for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery and only start off light when I go back.

I then had a second try on with my PC and I took my own bralettes to trey the sizes on with (ive attached a photo off the 350cc implant just so you can see what size will sort of look like ) beware they look hilarious! I am a 32C now and my PC advised me to get a size M in macom bra and possibly a 34DD in a different high impact sports bra depending on how the comp[any size their garments.

Glad everything went ok ???? i also have thyroid problems were they ok with it is there any risk etc or do they just wanna no if your thyroxine levels are ok before u go for ur op? I was worried they would turn me down coz if this then i saw ur post and thought thank god haha ???? whens ur op day xx

Hi Ellie, they look great! i thought bloods were included in the price with mya? they did mine there, she said if she couldnt get my bloods (it took 8 tries) then i would have to go to the doctors but they charge. i had to pay my doctors to release my medical info and then again to release an ECG i had took. i paid £25 each time for that so i would imagine bloods would be even more expensive through the NHS x

@samanths-2016 hey yeah they just wa r to know if the level is stable I think ???????? my ops the 18th of July! so excited this was my second try on as I was thinking of going bigger but I’m striking with 350cc xx

@sophy123 yeah she said she would sent a letter to my GP and I just had to arrange a appointment, my levels are due to be checked soon anyway so they won’t mind ???? the BUS probably would charge as it’s free at the point of entry, I work in a hospital ha xx
