So I got there at 7:30am, went down to theatre at 8:45, went under at 9 and woke up at 10:15 then was taken back to my room. Felt really drowsy and high but the morphine was amazing! Had no pain just a little discomfort, tightness and pressure on my chest, i took pain killers at 2:30pm and still dont need more now. Im just going to take them at night and in the morning i think because i will just ache that’s all. I found the whole day great and a delight really, it was so chilled and relaxed. No puking, was close but opened the window to cool down and i was fine after. Carried on the day litening to music on the telly and chatting to my mum and time flew by. My nurse was awesome, so friendly and talkative. Was happy with my progress as i had no compaints and was dealing with the op well and let me get dressed on my own and discharged me at 7:30pm. I did have drains and when she took the first one out it was just a really uncomfortable feeling but i didnt feel a single hing when she took the second one out, i didnt even know it was out until a few seconds after. Didnt bleed much so the nurse was please with that too.
Was a fantastic day, can’t wait until next friday to have the strapping off so i can see them. Really dont know what to expect but i cant wait x
