Hi all, this might sound really stupid haha but i know you’re not meant to die your hair when pregnant cos it can get in your blood stream or something (dont know the actual reason haha!) So i wondered can i bleach my hair the day before my op?? Its just the only time ill have free before hand and i know i wont be able to for a good while after but if its dangerous before going under general anaesthetic ill stay clear! Thanks x
Some people develop a sensitivity to hair dye when pregnant. But anyone can develop this sensitivity at any time in life not just in pregnancy. It is parabens that cause the allergic reaction and parabens are found in hair dye. Bleach is not a hair dye… But if you use a toner afterwards that would contain parabens. Also the darker the dye the more parabens it contains. Im not aware of GA causing increased sensitivity but as I said it can happen at any point in life. Hope that clarifies things x
Ahh ok, i was more worried that bleaching it (i then use directions/crazy colour on it) could be dangerous for actually going under, but that explains things better so they shouldnt necc have any effect on one another, thank you! X
