HAIR EXTENSIONS !!!!

Hiya!!

I’m due to have my op on 6th April and I was looking at the pre op video and it mentions no nails/eyelash extensions etc but it also mentions hair extensions 🙁

I have a weave and nano rings and was wondering if they just meant synthetic hair or what??

Anybody know if this is allowed or will I have to get them taken out???

Any hair extensions that have metal in them will have to be taken out. It’s due to if they have to use a certain type of equipment in surgery to stop bleeding then the metal could react with the equipment and cause burning and obviously if it’s on your scalp that wouldn’t be good. I had to take mine out x

Hey – I have nano ring extensions and mine had to come out.. in just to do with the things used in surgery and them obviously moving you about, they wouldn’t want to cause you any damage! tbh though during the first couple of weeks I was glad I didn’t have 20inch hair extensions to deal with when I couldn’t move my arms above my head 😂😂 x
