Hey girls
I wear hair extensions (hollywood weave) so they do have micro rings under neath. Will I deffo have to have these removed prior to the surgery? Cant believe I will have to do this after Ive just paid £540 for my set and they normally stay in a year so really don’t want to take them out! xx
Hi 🙂 I got told if I had any metal what so ever in my hair (they even made me take my bobble out) then they wouldn’t operate on the day so I wouldn’t risk it. Text your pc and double check but I had to get the gel removed off my nails and everything xxx
Yes all metal needs to be removed including micro ring extensions. I have bonded extensions that I’m having to have taken out very early – not because of metal (they have none) but because I won’t be able to maintain them at all myself after X my extensionist said wait until fully healed and have the same set back in – much cheaper than buying new hair if the hair you have it good already 🙂
@jessy6067 I’ve only just had my micro rings put in and I’m having my BA in January which is annoying but if you need to be resuscitated for whatever reason with the defibrillator it’ll conduct the heat of the metal and probably burn all your hair off so I don’t wanna take that risk haha. Wish they told me about taking metal extensions out at my first consultation because I would’ve waited till after! x
I have my Tragus peirced and there a nightmare to take out my PC rang the nursing staff and asked could I keep them in and they said yes they will just cover them xxx
they asked me again and again and again if i had any metal on me and said it was realy important i had nano rings too and had to have them taken out 🙁 xxx
i’d take them out you don’t want to get there and them say no they can’t operate all for the sake of hair annoying but true! boobs are far better than hair haha an can get them refitted hun. plus afterwards you’ll want a nice pamper sesh nails tan hair the works to help boost you back to feeling normal after it! and trust me washing and drying nanos after the op will have been impossible!!! xxx
