Hair extensions? Micro rings, Preston First Trust

Hello. I have read a few different forums on here regarding hair extensions but people have all said different things.
I am having my op on the 12th August at Preston First Trust, I had micro rings done nearly 4 weeks ago and I’m not sure whether to risk keeping them in.. Does someone actually check your head to make sure you have no metal hair extensions in? My friend who’s my hairdresser is happy to remove them and put them back in when I’m more able to move but just wondering the chances of getting away with keeping them in? Thanks x
