Hi girls! This is my first every post as i’ve always browsed. I’m currently 2 weeks post op with Dr L Fiumara. I’m with the Nottingham Clinic but had my op at the London Fitzroy as that’s where my surgeon operates. I had an augmentation plus uplift. On the whole I’m pleased with the aftercare and results. However I have a few concerns regarding the healing of my areola. I thought that my post op would be with my surgeon however both post op assessments have been with the nurse. The nurse is a lovely woman and gives me a lot of reassurance however I would have thought I should be seen by my surgeon.
I was told by the patient coordinator that I wouldn’t be able to see my surgeon until I was heeled which I thought was strange. My nurse also said the same thing. However after expressing my concern in depth the nurse said that Dr Fiumara is only based at the London clinic and no longer comes to the Nottingham one. I wonder if that was the real reason as to why I haven’t seen my surgeon??!! The nurse told me to send pictures of what I am worried about and she’d send it to my surgeon.
Personally I feel like I wasn’t made aware of my surgeon moving clinics and I really don’t take kindly to being told I can see me surgeon until a 3 months post op!!! Considering I paid over £ for the procedure!
Have any of you had any similar experiences? When was the earliest you saw your surgeon after the procedure?
Would really love to hear your replies as I’m very concerned. I can’t afford for there to be any complications and I would have thought that my surgeon could nip it in the bud before it worsens.
