I’m 3 and half months po and yesterday had a lot of discomfort in my right boob and when ive had a feel I can literally feel the implant and it’s rock hard whilst the other boob is soft and squidgy and fine. I know something has wrong I am seeing a nurse on Wednesday but was wondering if anyone had experienced capsular contracture or their implant bottoming out and what the signs where and how it was resolved? Was it a free re op? Mega worried girls!!! Xxx
I really wouldn’t worry until you’ve been seen hun, maybe you’ve laid funny or any number of things. Have u tried ice on it to see if that helps xx
I really hope so I can just tell something’s wrong! I’ve been putting ice on it wearring my shock absorber sports bra and taking ibuprofen xxx
My right boob was sore one night turned out a day cooped up in my work dress which is now a bit tight round the bust hasn’t helped. X
I don’t know about free re op hun I think for cc it should be.
I can feel my implant at the bottom and know a few girls in here can.
I think it is free re op for the first 3 years but not 100% sure. I’m just worried about the hardness of the implant compared to the other and the tenderness xxx
Hi Lauren, I’ve just had to have my implants changed due to capsular contracture.
I had grade 2 in one and grade 3 in the other both felt really quite hard especially the one with grade 3!
If the nurse is experienced she should be able to let you know straight away after examining you. Has the breast that’s gone hard also changed shape? X
Hi Emma, does it go up in different grades then? It hasnt changed shape just a bit swollen but only way I can explain the feel of it is that it feels like there’s a huge rock hard ball in the lower part of my breast whilst the other one you can’t even feel the implant and it feels like bruising when I press it! Was your re op free? Xxx
Yeah it goes up to grade 4 being the worst. Mine were very hard too and started to get really painful as time went on.
I had nagor implants which they replaced for free but had to pay for the actual surgery which ended up being more than what I originally paid. X
No way! I thought we was covered for cc re ops!!! Really hope it isn’t now! How is it now you’ve had the re op? Xx
I really hope you haven’t got it too!
I’m only 6 days post op, so just preying that everything is ok. I’ve had to have the capsules cut out and then new implants placed under the muscle.
Are yours over or unders? Xx
Thank you, wishing you all the best as well! I’ve got overs xxx
Thank you! Let me know how you get on. Xx
Ive CC twice now and had two re op it’s easy to fix and give me the chance to go bigger xx
@mush @emmabyrne if it does turn out that I have the dreaded CC do you know if I can carry on exercising normally until its resolved? I have been going to a bootcamp and absolutely loving it, obviously not doing things that are heavy for my chest but I will be so gutted if I need to stop going to it as I have signed up for 12 months? xx
Hoya Lauren, you should be fine I was doing loads of exercise right up until my operation. xx
You should be fine to carry on with wot your doing xx
I think if u had under the muscle CC this changes everthing as when u flex your chest area this can be painfull x
Thank you girls puts my mind at ease! Loving this boot camp at the moment! I have overs xx
@emmabyrne @mush woke up today and the right one looks funny! I’ve attached a pic
It’s the left one in the pic, but it’s actually my right breast lol x
