Emailed my PC this morning as I think I have mondors cord, but I am sure she has left as my emails and calls have gone unanswered for for about two weeks. Any advice?
Is it beccy at the Birmingham clinic by any chance? X
I didn’t think she was that far gone to be on maternity leave
Yeah loved her 🙁 but I called for we 2 weeks ago and was told she would be back Thursday just gone. I had a surgeon app on Saturday and I asked when she was going to be back. The receptionist said she’s not going to be back 🙁 I would call the clinic I’ve been passed to someone else now so you will have another pc xxx
Oh bloody hell 🙁 Ya no i text her the other day about seeing my surgeon and never got a reply that must be why then 🙁 i ended up calling reception and they sorted it….so should i call up and ask to be reassigned dya think?? xx
p.s that’s what i originally thought @Nicola
No she didn’t say why :/ but I didn’t get good vibes. I really hope she’s okay! Yeah well when I emailed her another pc emailed back so she’s my point of contact now. I would just call up see what they say xxx
If she left on good terms surely they would have sorted us out before she left?
I don’t know. I was a bit surprised that no one had been in touch to say but I suppose if the other girl has suddenly had all of bexs patients handed over its a lot to get through xxx
Yea i think your right there’s gonna a fair few to inform…Ok well thank you Nicola for bringing it up and thank you hannah for letting us know ;p lol xx
@Nicola – Hi, I also have mondors cord! I’ve done a bit if research and I don’t think it is anything to worry about and will sort itself over time. Mine are quite painful and tender around my incisions and ribs. I’ve read that ibuprofen should help, providing you are more than 1 week post op. I’m 15 days post op, what about you? Hope your healing is going well otherwise! X
I’m 4 weeks post op and you can only see them if I put my arm above my head, I only noticed because they were a little sore. Fr what I’ve fed they should nearly be nearly gone, but I only noticed them yesterday.
Yes mine are worse when I lift my arms up. All part of the healing process I guess! Hope yours clear up soon hon 🙂 x
Monders cords can last months, I could still see one at eight months post op, they are nothing to worry about, and will fade over time. As for your PC, get mod onto it, and she will get your new one to phone you 🙂 xx
The last I heard from my PC was late January but at the time I was too busy to reply. I tried emailing her earlier to arrange another consultation as my first one was this time last year, and I got an out of office reply from a completely different person! Does this mean my PC has left?! She’s called Laura and she was at Birmingham if anyone else knows or has her xxx
@Leahmarie My PC was laura, and i was told last week that she has left! Only from me calling up to speak to her though, no’one has actually informed me before this that she had left xxx
OMG!! I have just googled this because I did not know what it was….I have it!! I thought it was just tight scar tissue, but I have been so painful under my right boob! Felt like my wound was still raw or maybe I’d had a cracked rib! Most websites say its nthing to worry about….just an inflammed blood vessel that will settle by itself! Thanks everyone!
