Have I made the right choice?

Hey ladies, a couple of weeks ago I went to my first consultation with MYA, just so happens Mr Mounir had an appointment free that day too so I was also able to see him. After seeing him I came away being offered every size from 225-450? I think I’m going to pick the 450. Anyway back to my main question, Iv since booked and paid my deposit for my date. Iv only seen this surgeon and this surgeon only. Does anyone think I’m being really silly for booking surgery with him before seeing anybody else??xx

Hi Emma I must admit I did a lot of research first booked a consultation with Hospital Group and MYA went to my appointment with MYA and booked my surgery without even seeing the surgeon it all just seemed right with MYA (and I am 56 so no I don’t think you are being silly follow your instincts) X

Thank you Angie, I did have a consultation booked with transform but cancelled it as my PC at MYA was lovely and the surgeon was very open and honest with me and I think he can give me exactly what i want to achieve xx

I had a couple of consaltation with different companies and MYA really stood out for me . If anything the different opinions confused me a bit and the surgeon I saw at MYA was so nice and made me feel completely at ease so if feel happy with your surgeon and consultation then I would say trust your instincts xx

I had consultations with other companies and i 100% felt MYA was the best for me, it stood out from all the others and with this forum i think it is great so thats an extra bonus! Honestly go where you feel most at ease! I went to the hospital group and came out feeling like crap and so upset, went to MYA and they were amazing and I had an appointment booked with transform i arrived there baring in mind it took me an hour or so to get there for then to say they were running 1hr30 behind. So that straight away give me alarm bells. So id say MYA all the way 🙂 xxxx

Hi girls. Ive got consultations booked with other companies but now thinking to have one with mya after seeing there work on here… but its over an hour away!! And partner has just said it to far ?. Can you have a consultation with a surgeon and not book surgery? I had my 1st consultation yest with another company and i am now thinking about it but wasnt sure weather to meet with surgeon or not?? Xx

You can have a consultation and don’t have to book surgery . With MYA you meet with your Patient Coordinator first and then they will arrange you to meet a surgeon so maybe ring and ask if you can have a PC and surgical consultation on the same day ? Research the surgeons and if there’s one you think you like the work of ask to have it booked for the same day to save a lot of travelling ! Xxx

Samantha I live over an hour away from my nearest MYA clinic and I seen my PC and a surgeon the same day to save on travelling back down again and taking another day off work. Xx

Hi @claireb2 i had my consultation yest with my coordinator. But as im prob waiting till next year shall i wait for the surgeon consultaion till then? Can you meet with diff surgeons? She give me a list of them i take it i just look them and review there work ?? How do you know who to go for lol xx i should of asked this yest but just thought if it now lol xx
