Having the worst time :(

Hi girls, I’m having such a bad time atm.. had to go hospital last week due to thinking I had an infection. Turned out that I didn’t have one so they just redressed it and that.. a week later I noticed it had got worse ( pictures below, they look awful but they make it look worse than it is ) anyway I went back yesterday, put me on antibiotics and redressed me with drains.. they said it’s due to delayed healing apararantly.. but it’s nothing to worry about..

I go away in 3 weeks and really hoping it clears up by then 🙁

Has anybody had this before and something similar?? X

Baring in mind I did have an uplift as well as implants x

Surprisingly it’s not sore Kate, just quiet inflamed! Which seems to be going down with my tablets, thanks hunny xx

I know a girl who has this happen. If it’s any reassurance she and her boobs are fine now x

Have they used the same type of dressings when they have re-dressed? (Mepore maybe?) Maybe an allergic reaction, i had blisters unders my dressings, my nurse said it wasn’t something she had seen before but i had cleared up by my second post op appointment, you look so sore, so sorry this has happened i hope it clears up realy quickly for you xxx

They’ve put pico dressings on me Hun, I’m going back Friday so hopefully all we be ok as I don’t know what they look like atm as there covered, funnily enough there not sore tho! It’s mad what can happen you wouldn’t think it would happen to u tho 🙁 thanks hunny x

I’m a nurse Hun and I’ve seen PICO dressings work miracles so try not to stress. Hope you’re all healed soon x

I’m a children’s nurse so no experience with BA’s but I’ve seen surgical wounds break down horrendously. Yours looks like it’s just the surface of the skin so it should hopefully heal beautifully xx

Hi Natalie, not been on for a while was getting a bit obsessed lol, just seen your pics, looks painful! Hope you ok and the dressings will help clear it, I haven’t seen anything like this did they say what it was??

Hi Vicky, they said it was just delayed wound healing & said it is completely normal.. I’m due back tomorrow so hopefully the antibiotics and drains have helped! X

The good thing is they are dealing with it so fingers crossed it will be gone before your holiday 🙂

UPDATE::

I’ve just been to hospital, the nurse is happy with the healing, my boobs are fine., cleaned & redressed it.. all the gooey & gunk has gone & it’s now a superficial wound so the hole has healed it’s just on the outside of the skin. So got pico drains back on and on antibiotics so should be healed in a week or two but it’s getting better which is great! 🙂 x
