im having surgery on 22nd July with Dr G, about 7 years ago i had a virus that attacked my heart i had some tests and i was given the all clear around the same time.
do the doctors contact your GP to make sure you are ok for surgery. also has anyone had anything similar and will it have any effect on me having the surgery??
Hi Nadia. At your pre op check you should be asked to sign the consent form for them to be allowed to contact your gp. I didn’t have any previous medical conditions that would have affected my surgery but I’m sure if you’ve been given the all clear it shouldn’t be an issue, your gp will most likely just make them aware of it just to cover their backs xxx
