Different patients bodies recover in different ways. Bare in mind you’ll most likely still be in a considerable amount of discomfort and may still be taking painkillers. Going out means being in a crowded place with lots of intoxicated people who will not know you’ve just had surgery and you don’t want to risk the odd knock or anyone spilling drinks near your healing incisions. With regards to bras, most people are advised to wear a sports bra for 6 weeks give or take, unfortunately you won’t know until you’re actually in recovery. If I were you, as much as I love my friends, I know I’d rather be safe than sorry! Hope this helps hun x

I had blisters from the strapping that didnt heal for two weeks, i was in agony. I am now coming into thee 6th week, and feel alot better and think i could wear a normal bra now, i dont think i would have been able to before hand as the incision area has been sore. I went out over christmas and first party i went to was last saturday, and was even worried then about being knocked. I think we all heal differently, see how you feel when the time comes xx

To fair chick these girls are right you will be lucky if you can brush your own hair or reach up over head as when your post op you will realise how much you really use your chest muscles as the pain is quite crappy x
