Help freaking out

@mrsingi i know i have read a few people saying maybe day 4 is quite bad just have to see how we go, ive been eating lots of fruit, veg, eggs and tuna to hopefully help healing and drinking lots of water and green tea!!

I dont plan on leaving the house until mu 1 week check haha think we just need to make the most of being looked after and relaxing ? my daughters have been amazing i wasnt sure what i was going to tell them as i didnt want them telling everyone at school as not many prople know ive had surgery, at the moment with my baggy pjs on i dont think my boobies are really obvious so i have just told the girls i have hurt my back at the gym so they need to be careful with mammy and ask dady for help instead for a few days! They have been amazing my oldest has been a great help checking im ok and my little one just keeps sitting beside me kissing me and reading books ect! Happy days ?

Re my macom i got 32 small which i what i usually am but it just wouldnt go round my twins haha! The m&s one i am wearing is 34d though so am guessing im swollen around my waist! I also have an asda zip up one which i havent tried yet!

Good luck with the bath think i will give that a go today too! Dry shampoo has been amazing for my hair haha! Think i can get away with not washing that for another few days lol xxx

I’m glad you are both recovering well ? I was sick this morning from the pain killers & think I was emotional saying they’re too big, I know I can’t judge them yet. Anything is better than they were before & I know this will be 100% worth it!! ? I’ve just been lazing around the house like a slob watching films & eating loads, not managed to change my bra yet but I’m going to try have a shallow bath today as well & try to change my bra as I feel so grubby too! Lisa what a shame about your Macom maybe when the swelling goes down it might fit, could someone go to m&s to get you a new one to swap into? It’s my birthday tomorrow so I’ll have to try & freshen up a bit somehow?? I have been putting bio oil on but making sure it doesn’t go near the plasters, not sure if it will help. It’s been nice having people on this forum to talk to ☺️? Xxx

Thats exactly what i have been doing have lazed around in my pjs all day, been getting up and wandering abit to stop getting stiff! And i tried my macom bra again today and it fits so i am guessing my swelling has gone down which is good ?

Wow new boobies for your birthday ?? are you planning on still having a chilled out day? I dont plan on leaving house until my 1 week check (things might change as i get bored easily ?) but for now im enjoying relaxing haha.

I second its been great to speak to others in the same position ☺️

How are you feeling today? Have you tried your asda bra on yet? I had to go out yesterday and buy two, one is a 36F and one is 34E ? lol, they look mahoosive!!
Going out though took it out of me and I slept when I got back, so another lazy day plus the weather is rubbish so not worth trying to go out.

I managed a bath yesterday and I fell so good afterwards, skin is feeling oily again today so straight back in the bath again for me, hair ain’t feeling good either today even with dry shampoo…yuk!

@mrsingi how you feeling today? Im really achy on my left side hope this is normal and i havent done some damage or anything! I have no aching in my right side at all very strange! I still havent managed a bath i dont think i could get myself out!! I still need help geting up from seated and lying position think im scared to use my muscles lol. Im finding sleeping fine though! Havent wore my asda bra yet i am wearing my macom at the min and its pretty comfy ? my insisions seem pretty itcky today to yours?
Wow an F and an E ??? !! I couldnt imagine going out yet although im not in pain i feel like i cant stand straight especially with this strapping across my chest lol cant wait for it to come off!!

Yes i am feeling VERY bloated ? glad im not the only one i usually have a small stomach im not ised to this lol!! And my skin is still very oily ive had a bit of a breakouy of spots too ? all part of the process im guessing

Thanks girls ☺️? I managed to go out for a meal my friends picked me up I had to get my sister to wash, dry & straighten my hair!! I’m nipping Asda to get some bras as the one I’ve got from there 34dd looks too big & the m&s ones are getting so uncomfy! I have had really bad bloating as well I’ve heard it’s normal but not nice, mines a lil better today. & im the same on my right side I feel so restricted feels like I’ve pulled a muscle so I’m doing everything with my left! Back in work on Wednesday so hoping feel better than I do at min! 🙂 I also can’t stand straight I’m like a hunchback suppose when we get use to them and they settle it will feel more normal to stand straight! I did have a shallow bath but I keep my sport bra on as it feels too weird to have it off & still makes me queesy, i hope that passes!!? xxx

You seem to be doing good getting out and about i took my daughters to softplay yesterday afternoon and although i was seated the full time i was there i had an hours sleep when i got home!

I have just had the last of my ibruphen and am debating whether to buy some more i dont know if i actually need them dont seem too swollen at the moment, maybe get some and just take them if need be…

I still havent had a bath ? gross!! Just been using babywipes! My mam is going to come over tomorrow and wash my hair which i cannot wait for haha!!

I’m ok thanks, you both seem to be doing ok which is good news!

I had to go out and get new bras too cause I don’t always feel comfy so change it once a day and it makes a big difference.

We’ve all been brave and gone out haha, well done Lisa going to soft play it makes me tired thinking about it! And glad you managed to get out for your birthday Samantha, hope you had a good time. I went to get my nails and eyebrows done yesterday, felt good to out in the fresh air and off the sofa tbh but slept when I got back, super tired if I do anything, so another lazy day it is 🙂

I’m getting that hunchback feeling too, I don’t want you to have it but I’m a tad glad it’s not just me… Just because I thought I was being daft walking with my shoulders hunched…hurts my back too so trying to stop myself doing it!

How are you both sleeping? Still pretty much painless too? I’m still taking meds but not as often as I did at first, getting those air bubbles too now and that’s weird!! Haha.

Did you manage a bath yet Lisa? You’ll feel loads better for even a 2min dip, I’m off for one now, hair is absolutely awful now tho and maybe hubby will have to brave it and wash it for me.

I hurt myself yesterday too, lent over the chair to unplug something and got the most excruciating pain in my left boob ? hoping I’ve not damaged anything, hubby says it looks ok so fingers crossed. I won’t do that again in a hurry anyway lol.

Just seen your message from yesterday did you manage to get your hair washed? My mam is comming over today and is going to wash mine in the kitchen sink for me cant wait lol!

Sam how you feeling about going back to work on wed? My partner goes back to work on thurs so i will be on my own with the girls hope i mange ???

Oh a hair wash….I need to know how that feels ? I didn’t ask him to do it yesterday but am going to give it a go later as I’m back to work tomorrow ( away from home for 3days too ) boo!!!

Glad you’re off painkillers, I’m chuffed you feel good enough to not have them anymore 🙂 I just take mine at night to make sure I sleep.

I mentioned the pain to the nurse today and she says its more than likely just the nerves knitting back together, it’s not as noticeable today so feel a lot better about it and not worrying so much.

Nurse app went fine, she asked me to take my top and bra off, lie on the bed then she started taking off the dressings, I was dreading it but didn’t feel a thing! She then wiped the incisions over with antiseptic wipes and covered them with a new dressing, she was pleased with the the incision site’s too so all good ?? she asked if I wanted to look at the incisions but I felt a tad queasy so declined lol. Still not ok to shower, have to wait until after next weeks appointment….feels like forever…….
I’ve got another app next week to trim down the stitches that are left, not sure I’m looking forward to that !

I’m sick of sleeping propped up too, although I just can’t imagine ever being as comfy as I was pre op…. I’d love to sleep on my front, not as much as I wanted new boobies though so I’ll just have to live with that haha.

@mrsingi glad everything went ok and the pains not as bad today… Dont think i would like to see my insions either to be honest lol mine seem really itchy today and are stinging a little.
Finally had my hair washed today it was lush feel so much cleaner it ?

@mrssheppard2be glad the hair was was as good as you’d imagined, I’ve not done mine yet, tomorrow morning for sure!

How is your skin now, less oily? Mines nowhere near as bad as it was, although I’m sure it will feel 10 times better after a proper shower ? 🙂

Hope your stinging isn’t too bad, probably a good sign tho, you’re healing :))

I’m NOT looking forward to work especially as I’ll be away from home, I’ll have to ask the hotel for extra pillows so I can sleep a bit more upright too. Hope your girls and daddy are still being little superstars and looking after you!

@mrsingi good luck i just leant over the bath and it was prety pain free with my mam washing it.. I cannot imagine ever being able to do it again myself (prety sure i will be able to haha) i think im scared to lift my arms high up more than anything. Have u wore any clothing you need to out over your head yet? Im still in button up and zip uo things.

Bless you i couldnt imagine going back to work yet im lucky i have another two weeks up so hoping to take it easy up until then! You will defo need to ask for extra pillows u NEED to sleep especially being back at work you poor thing lol! I’ll think of you when i’m chilling on the sofa with day time tele ??

Mu girls and OH are still being great although my mam came round today and said WOW you can tell its not you doing the house work it looks like a right tip!? bless him he has tried!!! So she did a bit cleaning for me bless her what a star ?

I’m glad you managed to get out I feel like I’m going a bit crazy as I’ve never stayed in the house for so long before!! I’ve had a lazy day today but I’m going shopping for some bits tomorrow so will hopefully get me out for a few hours!! I only had one & half days holiday left but I’ve used them so I don’t have to go back to work until Thursday afternoon now ha! What time is ur post op apt mine is weds too. Bet it feels amazing to have fresh hair I feel gross today mines greasy again but I’m gonna try & do it in the morning ? How horrible is it trying to sleep propped up I’ve the worst pain in my neck & shoulders, we deserve a massage after this!! How old are your girls are they at the age where you don’t have to pick them up? At least you still have a few days left of your partner helping & should keep improving each day so hopefully will be ok for then ☺️ will he be back for the weekend to help again?

I bet that felt nice having your nails & eyebrows done I might try to have my nails done tomorrow & getting my eyebrows done Friday ? I was really paranoid when I went out for my birthday as was such a hunch back, but it was nice to get out!! I’ve been getting those air bubbles too constantly in my left side they’re so freaky!! Did you drive yourself to your post op or get a lift? I’m sorry you hurt yourself, how is it now? I keep doing the same was trying to make food before n felt it hurt when i leant over to the oven it’s so annoying not being able to do everything for yourself! ? but it will be better soon ☺️? ooh another week I was hoping they would take them off ha! But I’m glad it went well & they said they’re healing good so that’s good news.. I hope work goes ok for you tomorrow ☺️

I haven’t told anyone in work about my op haha so not sure what to say or if they will notice anyway ??

My girls are 7 and 4 so will mainky be at school and dont need picking up so thats good its just more getting them to school and back without driving im worried about as the walk is about 20mins…. My car is an automatic so wont need to change gears so i might give it a go before my OH goes back to work and see how i feel ? (naughty)
My OH is away for 13 days when he leaves on thursday so will be on my own for almost 2 weeks although my mam and sister could help out if i got desperate! I think i should be ok ☺️

I havent experienced those air bubbles yet they sound pretty weird lol!
I also havent told people at work but under clothes i dont feel like my boobies are too in your face any how so think i should be fine ??

Glad the hair washing was pain free, I bet you feel like a million dollars! And yeah I’ve been wearing tops which have to be put on over the head from day 1, I think I’ve been really lucky as I can move my arms quite a lot, just leaning forward and reaching that’s the problem.
Oily skin gone = ✅
OH and girls helping = ✅
House not being up to standard = ?? lol, bless him I bet he’s trying really hard too!

Glad your birthday went well even if you were a bit hunchbacked ? I’m sure no one noticed but you, does feel like you’re walking funny doesn’t it!

Yeah air bubbles, so odd! Made me jump the first time haha, not getting it all the time just occasionally but it feels super strange when it happens.

I got a lift to my post op app, I wasn’t confident that I could drive so far on my own, it’s at least an hour away (2 hours when the traffic is bad ) so didn’t wanna chance it, was nice to be driven there, so made the most of it 🙂

I’ve not told people at work either….. I feel mahoosive so it will be odd if they don’t notice lol, perhaps I’m just paranoid!
Hope both your appointments go well on Wednesday, fingers crossed you don’t need to go back like I do, I wonder if it’s because I went on Monday and not at 7 days post op?! I might ask when I go next week.
