Day 6- I have two issues!! What on Earth is this insane itching feeling I’ve had all days. It’s not just my incision areas but across a lot of my boob ?no rash or irritated skin… just itch. Is this normal?
Secondly… I’m turning into a whale and need to get back into the gym ASAP.
I want to try and do some walking next week on the treadmill and maybe some stationary bike, can anyone advise how they eased themselves back in? I was quite a gym bunny before, lifted heavy weights, attended lots of spin and hiit classes and have a wedding in 6 months! I can’t let myself slip!!
Also, what bras are best? Can I wear something different for a short period of time at the gym?
Thanks in advance 🙂 x
Itching is very normal!.. I had a couple of days here and there were the boob would just randomly be itchy! 8 weeks post op now and I don’t get that…
Gym- most surgeons and nurses say not to go back until after 6 weeks.. No upper body weights for longer… I know it’s difficult but I wouldn’t over do it… Gentle walking is fine… I know your body feels like it’s ok but it’s still healing… the incisions are deep and the implant is still dropping… I would speak to your PC and ask them for advice…
Gym wear – a high impact sports bra… So basically your post op one if you got that style… I have the M&S one and it’s really good! I know a lot of girls buy them… I also got a breast band off of amazon for going to the gym.. It just helps keep them in place when your moving around..

Maybe I’m over cautious… But after waiting for so long and spending all that money is they told me standing on my head would help I would probably do it lol xx

Ahh thanks so much for the reply! I took my bra off and gave them a good gentle itch when I got home from work and it’s calmed down massively now haha! How funny!
Re the gym, I definitely won’t be lifting any weights for a while but I need to be more active, even just 30 mins walking as I sit at a desk all day and I worry I won’t be burning enough to lose weight or maintain the figure I’ve worked hard to get now haha! Can you tell me which bra you got please? I had a look and there are so many I don’t know where go start! 🙂 xx
Thanks so much for the reply!! 🙂 that’s reassuring about the itching! I got home from work and took the bra off and gave them a good gentle itch and now they have settled down ? how funny. I’m seeing the nurse tomorrow to have my dressings off so hopefully can check everything is ok.
Re the gym yes I definitely won’t be doing anything too strenuous I don’t want to risk hurting or damaging myself! But I work in an office and spend literally all day at my desk and I’ve worked really hard to lose a lot of weight for my wedding this year and can’t risk putting it all back on, its 6 months to go haha!
I would just like to do 30 mins light walking to start with so that it’s something.
Can you tell me which bra you got please? I have had a look and there’s so many to chose from haha! 🙂 xx

Omg sorry there’s clearly an issue with the site tonight haha x
No worries… I guess going on the treadmill walking uphill is ok? Your body will tell you if it’s too much..
I’ve attached a photo (hopefully)… I’ve used this bra all the way through and now use it for the gym and it keeps them in place 🙂 xx
