Help has anyone suffered autoimmune disease after a BA

Hi so I had an Enlargement back in 2011 everything was great I still love my boobs now. How ever in 2016 i suddenly started losing vison in one eye after years off tests etc I’ve been told I have an inflammtion disorder I have also got new allergic reactions to certain foods I’ve just found out via the internet that people are coming forward saying it’s the breast implants? 😭😭

Hi know I’ve Never had any issues with health before it was like 4 years after I’m op it started I only wondered if it was possible as I read a post earlier people saying that breast implants can cause it 😭I’m on immune suppressant tablets at the moment! The allergies Are all different I have an allergy test next week. From certain spices now even to certain drinks etc my immune system has gone mad lol x

oh no so sorry to hear about that how crazy is that how your immune system has just gone wild 😮
Have any of the doctors you have seen said it could be down to your implants? Have you mentioned that to them ? Xx

Hey thanks for replying again! No I haven’t yet it was literally only today I come across other posts where the same has happened to people! My immune system keeps attacking parts of my body including my eye!! I see my dr in a few weeks and I’ll mention it to him! Hope it isn’t as I don’t want to have them out lol x

Omg I cant believe it 😮 I really hope it’s not linked to implants because it would be deavastating having to have them removed
I’ve literally not heard of this one before I’ve heard of breast implant illness though but apparently that’s rare
what is it actually doing to your eye is it stopping you from seeing out of one eye ?
What an awful thing to have to go through
please let us know what your doctor says if the implants are the cause

Natalie, my surgeon also said that the most of the people who believed they had implant illness and had them removed stopped having symptoms so perhaps worth thinking about if your health is suffering

Many cases have immune system problems and there are lots of information sites around.
My surgeon spoke about this and the cancer caused by textured implants and told me to research both for myself after telling me about it
