i havent had any pain in my arms but i get the pain when i stand up. maybe you should call the nurse if its affecting your arm?
What clinic are you at? i was trying to get intouch with my clinic today to see if they will take my strapping off early as it is hurting so much but there is no answer x
I think they open tomorrow I’m having mine off on Friday anyway and at Leeds clinic I haven’t tried ringing yet, it looks like might right boob is more swollen too xx ill upload a pic x
i cant tell one is swollen from the pic but it might be because its on the side…
One of mine is alot more swollen you can see on my photos x
Ill upload pics just being for a bra at m+s and she’s really worried me I’m crying my eyes out I’m so worried she was like to be like that your bandages r to tight and will be causing issues, my bf said don’t listen cos she works at m+s and not a surgeon or nurse but I’m so panicy, xxx
Jessie I really think you should call the nurse and ask if you can take them off yourself, I might take mine off too.
Vicky85 had her op the same day as me and you and took hers off two days ago xx
Should I ring the emergency line? Xxx I’m panicing now its only my right boob, just feels very soar and makes some noises and feels very tight?? Xxxx
Which hospital did you have it done at?? I’m getting worried reading this!
Right I’ve rang mya emergency they said DON’T WORRY as its normal for swelling and pain etc , she said I can take my bandages off if I want and put a sports bra on straight away and don’t get wet just go to my appointment still on friday she said because I can hold a perfect conversation it is normal and I’m just panicing 🙂 thankyou every one and @Nips I think I might take mine off when I get home before bed, ill keep you posted thankyou x
@amanda don’t get worried. X
@jessie‘x let me know how you get on atleast she said you can remove them!! Just don’t touch the incisions maybe might feel better once the pressure of the strapping is taken away. I have been putting ice on mine aswel when the tightness becomes too much … Try that too, in seperate bags and a towel.
Let me know how you feel later xxx
I’ve just called the nurse I’m taking mine off now x
I have just removed the strip down the middle of mine and feels so much better already so going to leave the rest until Friday.
Has just shown up even more how much bigger one is to the other though!!!
I’m in a macom at the min, maternity one should be ok shouldn’t it as that’s like a sports bra? X
I’ve taken mine off fully no pain at all now such a relief!! But they are still abit pointy xxx
Woooo freedom!!
Mine are pointy too and one is massive x
My right is bigger as swollen but hopefully it will go down! And hopefully will drop and be more round!, boob is round just towards nipple it pointy xxx
Jessie I had my ba on the 17th. My left side was agony, for days, especially towards my armpit. When I had my bandages removed on the 24th I had 3 large blood blister where I was allergic to the surgical tape but didnt realise. My left side was much more swollen so the nurse told me to sleep upright for another week which is so uncomfortable but it is helping with the swelling. I’m wearing a a couple of maternity bras from Mothercare plus I have a shock absorber bra and a couple of m&s ones. The really nice one with the zip front that a couple of girls on here have is in the sale on the m&s website if yore looking for another one. You should wrap an ice pack inside a thin tea towel and recline back with it on the painful area. This really helped me. Hope you’re ok xx
I had my strapping removed today and it has left me with burn marks from where it had bee stuck so much especially round the back and under my arms.
The drain incision on my left is also still bleeding too which is what I think I had pain from x
