HELP! Is this an infection??

Is this anything to worry about? The yellowy bits at the joining of incision and the skin is all red around it all … I’m getting concerned now my dressings have been removed, I’m frightened of the worst?? Ps the red mark is a blister from plasters X

It won’t upload arghhhh!! I think it is. I was out yday and I managed to see an on site paramedic and she covered me back up because she reckons its infected. Going to ring my nurse in the morning and hopefully see her tomorrow!

I had an infection, don’t worry too much, get it swabbed by the nurse and they will give you a course of antibiotics. It’ll clear up very quickly after that xxx

I had the same and mine wasn’t an infection, just a break down of skin, see the nurse asap though, but hopefully it is nothing to worry about! X

What was your infection like? Mine is red raw, sore, guey stuff coming out and inflamed, I received my prescription for my antibiotics today so will be collecting them tomorrow, how long after did it all clear for you? How long were you on antibiotics for? I feel like I’ve come to a dead end with them. So painful all of a sudden, praying there is light at the end of the tunnel. I’m such a dramatic tit. Ahhhhh X

I’m the same, I’m 4 weeks post op and where my scars meet I have a small patch that’s a bit Green, I got antibiotics just in case but surgeon said it’s all fine.. I’m just a worrier..x

I had antibiotics as a precaution but 3 weeks later and I’m all healed! Now just to work on reducing the scars. I instantly panicked when it first happens but now it’s all fine and back on track! Try not to stress too much, MYA provide really good after care. I saw my surgeon a couple of days ago now the open wounds have healed and he is really happy with the progress
