    Absolutely gutted… devastated!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mya wont do my procedure because my BMI is too high. Im about a size 16. I want boobs so i can be curvy, not just big hips and a flat chest anymore. Its annoying because my size is smallish but my weight is high due to me being sooo short and the fact ive done sports for years, and muscle weighs more than fat! They said i have to loose 3 stone 🙁
Anybody else have this problem? Or know of any other surgeons/companies that will operate on a higher BMI? The lady on the phone said to post on here to find advice. Thanks dolls.x

I believe this is VERY responsible of MYA,

Breast augmentation as well as many other procedures provided by clinics such as mya contain Risks
These health risks are multiplied massively if the paatient is over weight. The stress on some ones heart is far greater in over weight people so allowing them to go under the knife is irresponsible

On top of this in my understanding clinics like MYA strive to promote health and beauty witch is why your health is there number one priority so they won’t be dismissing you and saying you can’t have a breast augmentation they are clearly just pushing you to sort your weight out befor you choose to go under they knife:
It’s also a great taget to work for and should help you to get to a more healthy weight.

Muscle does weigh more than fat but at size 16 the muscle isn’t the problem,

The chances are if you had got to the consent stage your GP would probably have refused consent, a high BMI makes complications and risks of surgery allot higher but it’s the GA that poses the biggest risk, if you were to need surgery for a sudden health complication it’s a different story but for a cosmetic procedure an anethatist is putting their career on the line for what would not be classed as a neccasary procedure, i also was refused a BA 10 years ago as my GP would not give consent for a GA at that time it was very frustrating but essentialy for my own good.
I really feel for you and hope you can find a way that works for you to bring your BMI down over the coming months so you can have your BA at some point in the future, it’s nevdr too late! Im 10 days post op at 43 years old!! I so wish id’e had it done alot sooner but it just wasn’t possible xx

Hi Harriet, my BMI is actualy unhealthily low but allways has been, it was refused because i was at the time undergoing lots of tests for suspected early menopause and infertility problems it turned out i had Endomitriosis but took over 7 years to diagnose, i then had my 2nd child who is now nearly 4 so thats why it’s taken so long to have my BA, i just wanted to empathise with Kaytee as it’s difficult when you really want something and your circumstances prevent it, thankyou for your kind words though xxx
