Help needed today.. payment due

Hi girls,
I’ve realised as MYA has sent me a text that full payment is required today. I’ve scouted through my T&CS but cannot seem to find what I need!
I haven’t had my pre op yet and I’m worried ( only due to horror stories on here and my GP generally being rubbish ) that something will mess up and I can’t get my money back.
All I can find is that payment can be refunded 14 days after surgeon consultation which will be tomorrow, however my pre op isn’t until 9th August, so my question is if I pay the full remaining balance today and then for some reason MYA can’t operate ( MRSA / GP letter messing up) where do I stand with getting my money back.

Probably worrying about nothing but like to know these things. My PC can’t call until tomorrow but payments due today, and I don’t want it to be rescheduled!

I booked my op before my surgeon consultation as I knew I definitely wanted it done and had a small time frame to do it in so ended up getting reminders quite quickly saying full payment due that I hadn’t expected, the computer system had just automatically assigned a ‘payment required date’ and it landed on a Saturday and I was away on holiday, I didn’t get home and ring the office til the tues and it was totally fine, they said as long as you’ve paid like 2/3 before surgery it’s okay, they just set dates to chase it up as in an ideal world they want paid asap. I had already paid £1000 deposit to confirm surgery date so dunno if that makes a difference but they were dead lax about it xx

Thanks lovely, I’ve only paid £500 deposit but thinking surely they won’t reschedule due to 1 day until I can talk to them x

If they cant operate due to medical reasons you will get your money back x

Hey, I booked my op date before my pre op consultation with the surgeon and it said I needed to pay before my pre op but I just rang my PC and said I don’t feel comfortable paying the full amount until I see my surgeon so she requested a late payment and it got approved so I have to pay the full amount after I’ve seen my surgeon. Hope this helps! X

I got the same text today but the girl who did my consultation said the latest date I can pay is 8th August xx

Yes I paid well after the date on the automated reminder. I spoke with my PC and we arranged a later date closer to the time of my surgery. I did this for the same reasons that you are giving. I wanted to know it was going ahead first..
