Help quitting smoking

Hi Girls I am trying drastically to quit smoking before ba, finding it really hard, have heard that they test you for nicotine is this true? Or just a scare tactic did anybody carry on smoking? Just hoping I can do it , any advice would be great fully received. X x

Hiya Hun… I was such a bad smoker and I was petrified of the risk if I didn’t stop. I went totally cold turkey for 3 days and I was pulling my hair out so bought a electric cigarette which also you aren’t suppose to use but I’ve used that all the way through and I’ve been fine. I’ve had the odd one here and there but before my op I wasn’t tested or anything like that and haven’t heard of any of the there girls to be other I was worried about that also. Good luck Hun! X

I stopped a week before my op and never got tested, i used the vip cigarettes that was in November and im still using them. The only reason the say not to smoke is for healing but it’s honestly worth it x

I have managed 24 hours so far cold turkey, was using a vape up until then, I’ve heard so many things, I was getting really stressed about them stopping me have it done, gonna keep going with it, would be just my luck to get tested haha x x

I smoked right up until the day before my op! Tried to cut Dow but was smoking around 5 a day just didn’t have any on the day! Didn’t get tested or even asked questions

I quit 2 weeks before and the thought of being healthy for the op made it easy, I haven’t smoked since and I’m 4 months post op. Good luck x
