HELP- stitches bleeding???

Has any one had their dressings off and then started to leak / bleed? It’s not pain full but obviously it’s still blood? 🙁 shall I start to worry? I’m 11 days post op xxx

Hi chk. I think they should be scabbing over by now. Mine are anyway. I would call the nurse and see what she says. You may need more dressing on. Xx

Thanks girls. My mum panicked and took me to the walking centre as no one was getting back to me at Mya. They’re still happy with everything she said sometimes when they starts to dissolve they can weep a little. As procaution I’m on antibiotics for 5 days just to cover me for infection as a just in case. I’m okay though hope you’d are too? Especially you Jo! Not been on here much over the weekend so haven’t seen any posts. In still pain free! 🙂 xxxx

@sophlou Glad you got it checked hun, one of my incisions hasnt healed as well as the other, I had to go see nurse on Friday as its had a big scab on it that hadn’t come off, so it unfortunately has slowed down the healing and scarred me more.. funny the other one is perfect.. but she put another dressing on it, back to no showering until Tuesday, so hopefully the scab will be all ok by then.. Other than that, I’m ok, my PC thinks that my skin still so stretched that it might be holding back my dropping and fluffing, so it gonna take longer for me.. fingers crossed, but still booked in to see surgeon on 2nd sept, so he can have a look.. Trying to not let it get me down, its hard but I’m trying.. Hope yours heals all ok hun, and thanks for being a sweetie.. xxxx

Thank you and yeah my right one is miles better than my left too! But strangely enough it was my right boob I had the pain in anger the op! Ahh well! And aww I hope that is the case! I guess it’s a pretty harsh thing for your body to go through really. They do say a year for everything to be fully complete so I hope that’s the case for you and your skin will relax and let them drop soon!! And aww thank you your welcome!!! Keep smiling!! Mine look like actual boobs now. They just need to round off a little as still a bit pointy but I’m a lot happier already xxxx
