High profiles bigger than mod

Read somewhere high profiles look bigger than moderate eg 175 high profile looks same as 430cc moderate profile is this true and now this has really confused me

I haven’t had my op yet so not entirely sure but I believe it’s more to so with the projection of them rather than the size as such if that make any sense xx
