High pulse at pre op, really worried now :(

Hi guys so I had my pre op in London today and the nurse said my pulse was 119! I’m so worried that I won’t be able to have surgery in November now 🙁 has anyone else had this??

I had this along with high blood pressure. I tried breathing exercises from Google and they helped!!!

@kate-2 thank you I’ll give them a go! Did they prospone surgery for you? Xx

No even though it was super high the day of my surgery. I stayed over night and they kept me plugged into the machine all night to monitor it!

You’ll be alright she would of told you there and then that you won’t have surgery, did she do blood tests and say she will call you in a few days??? My surgerys on the 10th November and she gave me a blood test said my iron is low I have to raise up my blood levels within 3 weeks otherwise I can’t have surgery 🙁

@kate-2 ohhh that’s a relief hopefully they will do that with me as I’m staying overnight too xx

@emz92 my surgery is on the 10th November too! She said I didn’t need a blood test my blood pressure and everything was fine it was just my pulse I’m just worried it won’t be sorted in time 🙁 she didn’t say she would call or anything either :/ I hope you manage to get those iron levels up xx

Ok you have nothing to worry about, if it was an issue she would of told you to come back so she can check your pulse again, I have to go back in 3 weeks so she can check if my irons has gone up so I can have surgery so I’m sure she would of said the same to you regarding your pulse 🙂 you’ll be alright xx
