Hi Charlotte, I had exactly the same. My nurse told me that where the vertical scar meets the incision around the nipple can be a weak point and can take longer to heal. I too had a biggish scan and also some weeping but it fully healed not long afterwards. I was just told to try to let it dry out after showers and to avoid putting bio oil in this area. As for the aching, I had that too – directly under my scars, almost as though my ribs were bruised. It took a while but this has also now gone. I suspect they are quite brutal during surgery so there is likely to be lots of internal bruising which needs to work its way out. I had my surgery on 14th July 16. Xx
