Holiday 2 weeks after the OP!

Hey Ladies, I have my OP on the 20th of June. Super excited!!!!
I obviously mentioned to my PC that I have two holidays in July, on being the first weekend of July leaving me with only 2 weeks and 3 days before ill be on a plane! Im going to Valencia so the flight isn’t that long but its going to be a really boozy weekend. I just read a thread and someone has said that they were told no drinking after the OP?? Has anyone drunk two weeks after? Was you okay? Im kinda freaking now as the holiday is booked! Finger crossed ill recover quickly and will be able to get on with everything! xxx

I’m so surprised you’re allowed to have it done when your first holiday is just over 2 weeks after your op!!! They were really strict with me and said it had to be 6 weeks before I was able to go on a short haul flight (aka Spain/Europe). Plus you have to keep the bra on for 6 weeks after the op I think?

Drinking wise they’ve told me 6 weeks…I’m not in until next Tuesday having mine so can’t really comment on that. But I guess it just depends how you recover and how you feel in yourself. A lot of girls are still in pain and don’t even want to drink until the 6 week mark!! I guess your recovery also depends on if you’re having unders or overs? xx

Oh really? When I Called up to book the appointment I told them about the holidays also when I met the surgeon I told them, so how weird!!! Worries me now as I’ve been so excited for both!
The bra isn’t a issue, I work in fashion so can easily jazz up a sports bra and make it look as sexy as I can lol. But ahhhhh I’m scared now, what if I don’t feel up to drinking! Will be so upset.
Im having HP overs, seen the recovery isn’t as bad on these but still is gunna be bad isn’t it.

@anniemay I had my op on 4th may & flew to marbella on 27th may, i was absolutely fine only thing i had to do was wear my stockings for flight. Drinking was fine, i jus didnt get my incisions wet in pool due to risk of infection xxx

I had drinks like a week after and went out 2 weeks after but not on holiday. Just be careful don’t push it!! I am having a really lucky recovery so you might feel different but I felt basically normal after a week.

Hiya, I’m also confused as they told me no swimming or sun exposure for at least 6 weeks! I’m going on holiday to America in September and a festival in august, and my op is June 23rd and they still seemed hesitant!

Hello, i drank jus like normal on holiday & i wore my
Sports bras from m&s at night but just wore my swimsuits in the day which isnt ideal i know but they have been perfectly fine & havent sagged lol i was only there Sat to tues so not a mega long hol but i was still fine, dont stress too much xxx

its funny how we all seem to get told different things. i was told short haul flight after 4 weeks and long haul after 6 weeks. nothing was mentioned to me about drinking but i have read it is suggested to not drink for 2 weeks due alcohol thinning your blood. however i do think as long as your not on your meds anymore its completely up to you. I’m at a hen party 10 days p/o and will most definitely be drinking (hoping i will have stopped all meds) xxx

Double check with your surgeon as you don’t want to compromise your results. Stay out of pools, Jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms due to bacteria and like one of the girls mentioned wear flight socks even though it’s a short haul.

The post op issues that can compromise ur results are blood thinning/oxygen/bacteria/direct sunlight on scarring is not a good idea either. All the stuff in the preop pack mention things to avoid post op issues. Plus check ur insurance policy for ur holiday.

Hey babes. I’m really shocked they said you can fly so soon after surgery. Just make sure you keep your sports / post surgery bra on and I’m sure you’ll be fine. The nurse told me I can’t drink for 2 weeks post op, so you should be fine for the booze filled holiday! Just be careful with your new boobs!

Hey girls, I went for my pre OP last night and just questioned this a little more. Apparently the PC’s always tell you the wrong information. She said she shouldn’t have told me it’d be fine but hey ho. As its just a short haul flight I should be fine she just suggested to walk round a little bit more. She did mention to not go in the pool or anything which I’m absolutely fine with. She said that I can wear a bikini but I really need the support and any sports bra will do fine. Doesn’t necessarily need to be one of the ugly ones, just needs the support there to stop the boobs from swooshing around lol. I don’t think ill even attempt a bikini – maybe when I go away for the 2nd holiday in July but thats the end of the month and I’d atleast be 4 weeks by then. She said the drinking is fine also as long as I’m off the anti bionics. So weird how so many get such different information! Feels so real now that Ive has the pre OP!!! New boobs in 11 days, can’t wait!!!!

Hey so are u wearing a sports bra under your bikini? This is the problem i am having as i have a holiday in 4 weeks from my operation and wasnt told about this..

@alexshortland I would suggest u wear bikinis that have a buckle/clip fastenings as they should give more support. Anything that keeps them upright and not moving. There are quite a few in primark/newlook that look similar to crop top /sports bras that I’ve seen. Don’t get ur incisions wet in pool water or go into steam room/saunas fx

Hey Annie May u should be ok I reckon speak to ur surgeon /nurse and take a few along when u see them to get heads up. All else fails there’s always a sports bra I guess or tight crop top. Post op I wore a seamless crop top from primark pack of two was a fiver (one black one white) I’ve got some pics on my profile wearing them They’re low cut front and back and would defo work ok with some bikini bottoms.

I also have my op Tuesday 20th June!! I’m going on holiday 3rd week of July which will be before my 6 week check! I was told I will be fine my consultant said I can FaceTime her before I fly just to see how I am and how my incisions are.. I was told I can fly short haul from 2 weeks long haul from 4 weeks! Use the highest factor sun cream on your boobs, because they will burn so easy!! Keep incisions dry and hidden from the sun.. don’t go braless either. you should be fine but just double check with your consultant and surgeon.. xx

I’m having my surgery at Fitzroy, London! My emotions have been all over the place lol! Im really excited one day then I’m so nervous on other days! It’s the not knowing what size I’ll be after and the recovery that’s been making me nervous! But I’ll be thankful to have some boobs after haha! Where are you having your surgery to??

@vickii109 Omg I’m at London too!! What surgeon you having? Have you got your admission time yet? What size implants have you asked for? Also you having overs or under? Sorry so many questions haha. Im so nervous too but I’m really excited! I opted to go bigger yesterday and now I’m like omg what if they’re huge and I hate them! but would be so upset if they were only as big as my double padded bras lol. What size are you now? xx

Are you! We might see each other on Tuesday then!! My surgeon is dr lutz.. no haven’t had my time yet which is so annoying because I live 5hrs away! So this morning I’ve booked myself and my partner into the Fitzroy hotel so that I’m waking up in London Tuesday with out the mad rush driving up.. I’m having 325cc high profile round implants! I couldn’t go any bigger! I researched loads before my appointments so When I went to meet dr lutz I was wanting 400cc unders! But unfortunately I have very little breast tissue, my consultant said I’m a full A cup now small B cup! 36a/36b! I’ve been told I should go up 3 cup sizes (up to a DD) I’ll be happy with a nice full D tho! lol that’s ok, I don’t mind..
Have you had your time given to you yet? What size are you having and what size are you now? Xxx

Will be nice to see someone I’ve spoken to on here! And to see how you get on.. I’m going to be in a room with my mum as my mum is book in for surgery same time, my consultant has been brilliant and made sure today we can share a room! I no i was so worried I wouldn’t be given my time until Monday this is why I’ve ended up booking a hotel! I’m hoping they will have me in first thing in the morning so I’m not driving 5 hours home in the evening and getting back at midnight!! Do you live far from London?? Ive read on here each 100cc is a cup size so it must be right if my consultant reckons I will go up 3 sizes!! It’s so hard to work out what size and look you will have after as everyone’s so different! There’s girls on here who have had the same implants as me but have only managed to fill a C cup then there’s others who are now filling DD!! I wanted unders because I thought they would give me the more natural look BUT again not everyone’s the same my surgeon said if I had unders they would look to far apart and stuck on looking! If I have overs I will have a more natural look! So after weeks and weeks of researching and reading everyone else’s story’s I’m now just holding on to the advice from my surgeon as they no best!! If your worried tell your surgeon to take 2 sizes in to surgery with him! I’ve seen some girls on here end up a size smaller or a size bigger! You could always ask for 375cc the in between size (there isn’t much difference tho)

Yeah 100%! And omg you and your mum getting them done on the same day thats amazing haha! At;least you can both compare etc. I love that! Yeah that’ll be the worst, have you got someone to drive you both back? Well exactly this website is so good but its so bad for you. I was originally going for 350 and then I see pictures and they just look like my boobs in m double plus size bras and I don’t wanna spend all that money when I could just buy a £30 bra and have the same effect lol. Although its more to do when the bras off and how you feel but you know what I mean haha. And well yeah thats what I was hoping for but he said to be to have partials, I made it clear I wanted a cleavage and blah blah so hopefully it’ll work out. And yeah I’m going to ask him to take 375 and 400 in and see what he thinks is best. Ah I’m so excited! Hopefully we get our admission times today!!! 🙂 xxx

I no it’s a bit crazy my mum having hers done as well lol but she’s been amazing! She has lost so much weight so her boobs are so deflated now, so she wanted a uplift to sort them out but was told to have 400cc implants to get her back to how she was before she lost her weight! Because she nos how bad I’ve been growing up about my body she said she couldn’t go thought with her surgery without me so my mum decided to pay for my on the grounds I pay half back! My partner is driving us up and back so we don’t have to worry about the drive.. you are totally right, this page is amazing I love reading the girls story’s and everyone is so supportive on here but I had to stop comparing sizes etc because it was stressing me out! So I’m now just hoping for the best! What ever I end up with will be better than what I have now lol… I’ve just received a email from my PC with my time.. 8am, it’s now feeling so real.. have you had yours yet xxx

My mum hates the idea of me having it done, she’s so worried bless her, so I opted for her to not come with me as originally planned because shell just stress me out, so she’s gunna pick me up instead. Yeah its so true, it really does give you a whole heap of emotions on here lol! Only 3 more days to go now!!! I got mine too, I’m at 9am! Exciting!!! xx

Lol, it was a lovely thing for her to do!! And even tho it’s a little weird it’s nice to have her there to go through it with… ahh bless, it is a big thing tho so any mum will worry! It’s good she will be there to pick you up tho.. you have, so you’ll be a hour after me, I’ll have to try and keep an eye out for you if I’m sat away waiting still… I’ll message you on the day, and even if we don’t manage to see each other definitely kept me updated on how your doing..
