Holiday 5 weeks after op..is this ok?

so my op dates been changed to 16th october even though it was meant to be 2 weeks ago, the only thing is, ive booked a holiday too maldives november 22nd..is this fine? will i be able to swim/wear bikinis? im so scared!

I was told no swimming until your 6 week check and you get the ok from the surgeon. Also you need to keep scars out of the sun too. Really not sure about long haul flights though? ? Can they not get you in sooner?

I’d read in one place short haul is 2 weeks and long haul is 4 but then another place said 6 weeks for long haul. Would be best to txt ur PC xx

Deffo no swimming, and bikinis will be fine, just don’t sunbathe loads and keep your scars completely out the sun (remember that you boobs can tan blotchy for up to a year after the op, and the scars can become red and raised)
You should be ok flying, but check with the nurse first

Hey hun, short haul is 2 weeks and long haul is 6. Cos of the risk of blood clots. I’m cabin crew and havin to take 6 weeks off work for the op! 🙁 x
