HOLIDAY 7 WEEK PO ISSUES?!?!

Hey girls, I am going away 7 weeks post op to my BA. I read about a girl on here going away 4 weeks post op and then in her posts she was saying everything was okay but she couldn’t go in the pool?! when I spoke to MYA about my holidays, (at first it was going to be four weeks) they said I would be fine to go away but never mentioned about the pool! SOOO I am just wondering has any one gone away 6/7 weeks and been in the pool? I am going to America (Virginia and Vegas) and if I cant go in the pool I am going to be very disappointed as I was never told this before hand. xxxx

Hey Hun, you usually can swim after your 6 wk check as long as your incisions are healed well. It’s due to chance of infection. Your nurse will be able to tell you at your check xxx

I’m going next Thursday and will be 6 weeks post op on Tuesday! I’ve been told I will be able to swim but it’s down to how well the incisions have healed! your nurse will tell you on your 6 week check xxxx
