What did everyone pack in their hospital bags, or what are you planning on taking with you?

I’m just a little over 3 weeks post op, I had a 2 night stay (I was a breast reduction)! But in my hospital bag I took:

2 pyjama dresses with buttoned fronts
    Socks and underwear
1 button front top & leggings for way home
    1 macom bra
    Throat sweets
    Baby wipes
    Lip balm
    Hair ties
    Toothbrush & toothpaste
    Deodorant
    Phone charger & headphones
    Magazine
    Slippers
    Dressing gown

I had my v pillow and a bottle of water waiting for me in the car for the drive home! I did also take my little info pack with my finance details etc and my ID just in case! They also did say to me that the surgery/anaesthetic can bring on your period but they had plenty supplies for that there if needed!

Hope that helps good luck girls! X

Thank you Lindsey, that’s really helpful. I should only be in for the day but I think I will pack extra just incase. How is your recovery going? x

You will have everything you need I’m sure! It’s going pretty good, I’ve had no dressings on for about 1 week now so can actually see my new boobs and I’m so happy! I did have a little bit of oozing in the first week but I called up my nurse and got that sorted, can see some of my stitches poking out which they said is also fine. Im back at work too which is totally fine I’m so surprised at how well recovery has been going, I expected loads of pain but at worst it’s been just sore or uncomfortable in the first week -still managed to go out and about shopping! 3 more weeks until I can start using bio oil etc and 5 weeks until I can finally come out of this macom bra I can’t wait!! X

Oh that’s really good, glad its going well for you. I’ve been worried about recovery but I’ve seen so many comments of good quick recovery and its putting my mind at ease. How are you getting on with the macom bra’s? I have bought 2 of them and thinking of getting some more.

Yeah not gona lie I was terrified and nothing will stop you from worrying, but it’s so good when you’ve finally done the op and can just focus on your lovely new boobs and the bra shopping to come!

The macom bras are fine I think, the surgeon said it was perfect! It’s weird getting used to being in it constantly, I normally would sleep with no bra! They do the job, and they’re nice and long enough to go down over your incisions! I have 2 and I swap them over every two days or so! Have been looking at Victoria’s Secret comfort bra’s for when I can come out of the macom and they look pretty soft so I might have to invest!

I will be glad when its over haha. I’ve heard good things about the macom and Victoria Secrets, I’ve got 2 macom bra’s and keep looking at Victoria Secrets, they have a sale on at the moment too, bonus!

    Hey girls,
I don’t have any front zipped tops just a thin long sleeve hoodie but I’m afraid I may feel too hot wearing this…
What kind of tops did you have for just a day stay?

I would definitely recommend a button front shirt, as I had a lot of muscle stiffness after surgery and I definitely couldn’t have lifted up my arms to get a top on over my head for the first week or so.

You won’t be wearing the hoodie for long so it will probably be fine. You’ll change into your gown when you arrive for your admission and you’ll only get changed back into your clothes when you’re ready to leave, so you won’t be sat around in it for a long time.
