How effective is bio oil?? X

I was told to use bio oil for 6 weeks before your op to prevent stretch marks?? How true is this? I’ve been using it recently because my op is in 4 weeks time (eeeeek :D) but I was just wondering if it will actually work and prevent stretch marks because I’m REALLY dreading getting them! Have any of you girls used it and was it any good? Xx

I used it 8 weeks pre op and I’m not 7 weeks post op and I don’t have a single one, I started using bio oil on my breasts the night after I had surgery avoiding the incisions as I was told by my surgeon I could 🙂 I still may get them but oiling twice a day morning and night, Need to do middle of day too at work!! Haha

I used bio oil religiously when pregnant and I still have stretch marks I think it helps but if you are going to get them you will! Xx

I used just johnsons baby oil with both my pregnancys and didnt get one stretch mark so going to use it again 6 weeks before my op and its cheaper than bio oil xx

I was told to use this by my PC last week. She recommended it for before and after the procedure. Was on offer in Superdrug too (25% off). So bought 2 big bottles! Never used it before but love it already.

I used it for weeks before op and every day since, I’m now 8 weeks and have stretch marks developing, if you’re going to get them then you’re going to get them because it depends purely on your skin and your elasticity levels. The bio oil can reduce them and help them fade xxxxx

Ive been usimg it from week one! that and coconut oil on my scars and theyre healing really well. at least twice a day

I’m a bit worried because I’ve booked my surgery for 3 weeks away so am only going to have 3 weeks of using bio oil.. I really hope it works! x

I used it through both my pregnancies and got no stretch marks I did how ever got one faint one on the tob of my bottom which I didn’t put bio oil on t the time I just put it on my stomaxhe area but after then putting it on it faded really well and can hardly see it now , I didn’t know u was meant o use it before your op il get some xx
