I’m having my BA on 8th March and jetting off to Egypt on the 24th April which is about 6 and a half weeks after. My pc and surgeon both said 6 weeks is ok but to make sure my incisions are not exposed. Now I’m feeling paranoid about swimming etc! Also silly question can anything happen to my skin on my boobs when exposed in the sun? Like blothcing or anything?

I know I didn’t think to ask! I’m sure they take it into consideration when that question is asked though. I’m going tomorrow to try on implants again to be sure on size so will ask then. I, just being impatient and interested on hearing other people’s experience xx

Thanks girls, I’m probably just being over paranoid. My pc said as well as covering the incisions with my bikini to also use the SPF factor 50 lip stuff on them as extra protection! Incisions are usually well healed by 6weeks aren’t they? Do you know if there are any risks like blotching on the skin or anything or can you sunbathe as normal? Sorry for tons of questions lol xx

No hun, no other risks, just keep the scars covered that’s all. It’s natural to worry x x x

This is prob bad news, but you should cover your whole boobs, and put uv blocker on your incisions until you’re at least six months, they say a year for incisions, but usually six months is enough.
This is because your skin has been stretched and you can tab blotchy on it, and your incisions can become red and raised.
Swimming is six weeks, same as a bath, as submerging your incisions can cause irritation and possible infection xx

Oh no 🙁 how annoying. Is that 6 months that the whole boob should be covered for in the sun? If I was to tan blotchy could it cause any problems for future or just blotchy whilst I have a tan? If that makes sense? Lol. Will defo keep the incisions completely covered and protected! And glad swimming will be ok 🙂 xx thank u for your reply x
