How long do u need to stop drinking alcohol before your op?

Hi guys!!! Had my pre op the other day and forgot to ask my nurse when I need to stop drinking alcohol!!? I’m not talking a massive binge just a glass of wine 🙂 any help would be appreciated xxxxxxxx

A week before. Although my friend had one glass the night before her op at a party x

i was told to stop 2 weeks before the surgery.

It’s advised two weeks, but a glass isn’t going to kill you, I had a glass with dinner on the Saturday and op on Monday.
You’re advised to stop drinking as alcohol thins your blood and you can risk a bleed out because of this.
Lik I said, one small glass is ok, but not every night before hand xx
