How long should my partner take off work?

I have two girls. One is 5 and the other 4years old. I have to do nursery n school runs and have no other family where I live it’s just me and my partner. How long would you say he should take off work to look after the kids? And me? Haha he needs to book in advance xx

Hi my daughters are 7 and 4yrs i had my oh at home with me for 8 days, he works away so i was completly left to do everything after that and i was ok. The only thing was i couldnt drive until day 13 so had to walk to school. Its close by so i managed bit dont know about your situation. Hope this helps ☺️

Ah thanks. He was thinking of taking 7 days off? And I would book myself in on a Friday so that way itl be the weekend for days 8&9 so wouldn’t be so hard.. I get the bus up to the school and it’s a ten minute walk to the bus stop.. Hope that’l be manageable as once he takes time off he won’t be able to extend it xx

I would say a week would be enough for you hun with your kids being at an age where they can do everything but I have a little boy who is 10months so I needed my partner off longer as he’s really heavy to lift…I’m 14 days post op now and just started to lift him again but it’s not easy and I’m worried constantly about damaging myself xx
